"Excellent hotel in an awesome location with very friendly and professional staff. Linda, the owner, is a very nice caring woman who deeply cares for her guests and customers. Linda was very courteous and generous with me, and also incredibly helpful, when I told her that I was interested in extending my stay for an additional two nights. She gave me an excellent rate and instantly accommodated my request with no hesitation at all. Linda is genuine and very real and truly loves her job as the hotel manager here at Hotel Hecht. God bless Linda and this wonderful hotel that's conveniently located in the center of Old Town Zurich!!!"

"Run away from this hotel! They quote a price on the platforms and when you get to check-in they charge an additional amount that exceeds the daily rate. My family and I booked a room for the New Year's Eve period from December 31st to January 1st, 2026. When we arrived for check-in, they charged us an additional 160 Swiss francs, claiming that hotels in that region had high prices for that day, even though we paid everything through Expedia and we don't have anything extra to pay at check-in. The manager or owner, I don't know, forced us to pay or they would refund the 140 francs we paid and tell us to come and find another hotel. This was at 4 PM on December 31st, and all the hotels in the region were full. Besides that, the environment is poor, there isn't even soap for the shower, the towels look like pieces of cardboard, and the bed linens don't seem to be changed often. The TV didn't work, the only hotel employee was just following orders and couldn't even fix the TV. They don't ask for any documents for check-in, don't even give a receipt for the extra charge – a complete scam!"
