Arlette Am Hauptbahnhof

"Hotel Arlette is definitely a highly recommended family owned place to stay while visiting Zurich. It is conveniently located only about a 7-8 minute walk from the Zurich Hauptbahnhof. The only thing is there is currently quite a bit of construction/renovation in the streets so you may need to walk around the side streets to find your way over. Hotel Arlette is small but their service is great. We arrived around 12:30p.m. to drop our bags off as it was still early to check in but upon arrival, the clerk informed us that our room reservation was ready for check -in. It was to our surprise but it definitely worked out well for us. The room had a mini refrigerator and a desk which was nice. In spite of the room being small in size, there was ample space to move around for the two of us. The wifi connection was good and we had no issues at all. After 8p.m., there is no one attending the front desk and you need to use your key card to access entry. Also, there is a convenient elevator to access the upper floors. The only issues we encountered were no garbage can available in the hallways or front desk area and it is a bit noisy at night/early morning as they emergency vehicle alarms occur. We had a room facing the street but it was manageable for us. The room included a complimentary breakfast (current breakfast room is being renovated)that was served in Bakerai Wust (located to the right of Hotel Arlette). Make sure you bring in the correct dated voucher for the breakfast which is served 6:30a.m. on weekdays and 7a.m. on weekends. The voucher is valid for a Country Breakfast which consists of choice of two bread items, jam and butter, scrambled eggs, and choice of coffee or hot tea. It was a nice hearty breakfast to get started for the day. The service at Backerai Wust was excellent and prompt. In addition, there are complimentary fresh apples available at the front desk 24 hrs. A great hidden lodging option in the Old Town of Zurich!!"

"This is a small hotel that is close by to the train station about 5 - 10 minutes away depending on the individual. There was free breakfast next door called the " Wust Bakery " opens M-Fri 06:30am, Sat/Sun 07:00am that came with your stay at Hotel Arlette. The breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, (2) bread options, miniature cookie and coffee or tea. The room was comfortable with mini-refrigerator and the free Wifi was very good. The door of the hotel closes at 8pm - just use your hotel key card and it will open."

"Hotel is convenient to Zürich HB and an easy walk. Hotel was clean & tidy. Staff were very pleasant and helpful especially when a maintenance issue arose causing a room exchange. Change happened seamlessly with no fuss."
