"**Disappointing Experience – Not Quite the Spa Hotel It Claims to Be!** Unfortunately, our stay got off to a rather cold start. We arranged an airport transfer through the hotel, and from the moment we were collected, there was no hello, no warm welcome and very little friendliness. Sadly, that first impression didn't really improve throughout our stay. We stayed in room 2011, which was advertised as having a lake view. Lake view? I'm not quite sure what their definition of a lake view is, but it certainly wasn't what we were expecting. As for calling this a "spa hotel", I think that's a bit of a stretch! There is an outdoor swimming pool, a few treatment rooms, and a sauna and steam room that you have to pay extra to use. There are also two jacuzzi-style baths, which seemed to spend more time emptying and refilling than actually being available to enjoy. Considering you're only allowed 90 minutes in the spa area, this was quite frankly a joke. Hardly the relaxing spa experience we had imagined! To give credit where it's due, the spa staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming, as were the restaurant staff. They were definitely a highlight of our stay. The hotel itself is also quite remote. While this might suit those wanting to completely switch off, be warned that taxis are extremely expensive, making it costly to venture out and explore. Overall, I came away feeling rather underwhelmed. The hotel has some positives, particularly the staff in the restaurant and spa, but the lack of a warm welcome, questionable lake view and rather limited spa facilities left a lot to be desired. For somewhere marketing itself as a spa hotel, I expected considerably more. A warm welcome costs nothing, and neither does accurately describing what you're paying for!"

"We did the "box" of the master chocolatier's secret and it was very cool. The room was very nice and the restaurant food was excellent with a wide selection included in the price of the "box." The hotel accepts dogs and is located on the edge of fields and vineyards, so it is easy for dog walks. I gave this activity to my sweetheart for last Christmas and we really enjoyed it!"
