"The more I think about my stay here the more annoyed I am. It was only for one night, and one good thing is that it was very quiet. I also will say it was very clean.
But very rundown and in need of minor maintenance repairs.
Two examples…. There’s a light in the closet that stays on until the door is closed, but it didn’t close completely shut so the light stayed on which doesn’t sound like a big deal until it’s nighttime and then you have light streaming in from the middle where the two doors meet, the bottom, and the right side. I had to put pillows on the floor to keep some of the light from shining in my eyes.
The other thing is the showerhead. I never could figure out how to turn it on. It’s not clear…. It’s not my first time to ever take a shower! There’s no lever, there’s no button there’s no knob. So I had to stand near the water coming out of the spigot and splash myself with it.
When I checked out, the man checking me out did not ask how my stay was, but I wanted him to know about these two things so future guests would not have this problem. While I was very polite telling him the situation and even laughing at my inability to figure out how to turn on the showerhead, he just stared at me and finally said well you didn’t call! It took me by surprise and I said no I didn’t because it was very late and I didn’t want to wait for somebody to come up and fix the problem. And also it wasn’t the end of the world, but I just thought you should know. That was it, he didn’t say anything else.
That’s the part that annoys me. Obviously I didn’t have a major complaint. But for his attitude to be like I’m the moron and it’s all my fault because I didn’t call, obviously he’s never been extremely tired, naked which you tend to do when you want to take a shower, and the last thing you wanna do is get dressed and wait for somebody to come up.
Also my prearranged driver said he was going to be late so I asked the rude desk clerk how long it would be for a taxi and could he call me one and he merely pointed to the door and said you can go outside and get one they’re right there.. maybe that’s pretty obvious if you were there, but it was early enough in the morning to still be dark.
Oh I didn’t want to say that the air-conditioning worked really really really well!"
