We’ve launched our first ever electric vehicle for airport transfers in destination, which allows our customers to travel in comfort while reducing the impact of this journey on the environment.
In partnership with GEM Travel, our destination partner in Rhodes, our electric vehicle not only runs on electric and then uses solar power to recharge when it’s not out taking customers to their resorts (SDG 7).
We’re keen to share the positive impact of utilising electric vehicles in our supply chain, so we’ll be collecting data throughout the course of the coming seasons to share with our customers and partners (SDG 11).
Christos Michalakis - Managing Director GEM Travel SA: “We’re proud to have launched our first electric vehicle in Rhodes for easyJet holidays customers, as we’re committed to working together to reduce the negative impacts of tourism."
“The feedback from our mutual customers on their transfer experience has been really encouraging, and at GEM Travel we’re looking forward to growing this initiative further after the successful pilot.”
