"Unfortunately after our first night in room 3, my partner woke up covered in bites, and we found bedbugs in the bed. She woke up at 4am with a swollen arm due to the bites, so we immediately packed up our stuff and informed the night receptionist, who was very apologetic. She told us that there were no rooms available for us to move to, so we had to sit in the lobby until the manager arrived at 7am to issue us a refund. The staff were very apologetic and handled the situation well, offering to contact their partner hotel for a room for us, however it was not the location we were looking for, and we had lost confidence in the company. Aside from the bedbug issue - we were disappointed by the hotel, as the room had thin walls and was right next to the reception, so you could hear everything going on. There was no key card access door between the reception and the rooms, and we were on the ground floor, which added to the noise issue, and did not feel very secure. The pool had a very strong smell of chemicals, which our swimsuits smelt like for the rest of the trip. Overall, we would not recommend this hotel. While the staff were accommodating to the situation, it should not have happened in the first place, and it leaves us to question how clean the facilities are and how attentively they are maintained - we also found a cockroach in the public bathrooms in the hotel."

"Booked for convenience & loved it. My wife and I were attending the Valencia vs Elche match at the Mestalla Stadium. I was looking for a value for money hotel within walking distance and this definitely was a wise decision. Staff were lovely, indoor pool & sauna. Very clean room, fabulous breakfast 8€, parking 16€ Can't say anything more important than we will definitely stay there again"

"Hotel Olympia Consul del Mar is a decent hotel with excellent staff, okay breakfast and a really good location, making it convenient to go both to the downtown and beach. The room is nothing spectacular, but it is decent and the staff is truly putting strong effort to keep everything clean."
