"November 4th 2025. Lovely hotel, 90 mins from the airport. It is clean, the food good and very nice friendly staff. The TUI rep was there a few hours each morning but no welcome meeting( so no trip selling, there was a brochure book only) as maybe 5% English mostly German with maybe 25% Spanish. Only 4 of us arrived that day so you have to find everything out by bothering reception. Several buildings spread out in the nice gardens. You will be travelling up and down and through the corridors to go to the 2 pools (one on level 5) one in the grounds level 0, and the 2 restaurants also as they are in separate areas in the gardens, as is the Bar room. We didn't find the gym or massage room till the last day, again no information. You get a 14 euro discount voucher for the a la carte and 2 free prosecco type drinks for the Bar. The entertainment was dire, two singers and the bar full of the local Spanish, again it could be the time of year. The main restaurant has inside and outside seating areas, a buffet style counter and a 'show' cooking area for meats/fish. Children's pizza/nuggets/chips and fish fingers also at that end. The food is Canarian but nights are themed- fish/meat/BBQfish/ International etc. Good choice, plentiful and tasty and hot. Meats particularly succulent and steaks huge. Many salad options. Wine menu, average 14 euro a bottle but no drinks menu. You pay at the end by receipt. Bottle of water 1.20 euro and juices 1.10 euro. Large beer 3.5 euro.
Towel hire 10 euro, refundable and 1 euro for laundry exchange. Fan hire is 20 euro, refundable as there is no air con in any rooms. Twenty mins to walk downhill to the sea but there is a free green shuttle bus 6 times a day (shared with 2 more hotels so takes 25 mins) It drops you in town near the sea in the underground car park of the large supermarket/shopping centre. Return pick up there as it is uphill all the way back. A small mini market about 5 mins walk- left up the hill from the hotel. A small English section in the library in reception. As it was November we did not see any activities? The tennis annoyingly went on all day from breakfast till 11pm so was noisy. Rooms with a sea view (over the wasteland and rooftops) affected by the tennis noise and road noise but not too badly. These rooms are cooler as no sun on the balcony. The mountain view rooms are quieter, look over the pool and have sun all day but the rooms are very hot by evening. Everyone had their preference. There are also 2 separate blocks of accommodation, one by the pool and one over the restaurant area. The hotel needs updating as it is over 40 years old, some stuff tatty and maintenance not a priority by the looks of it, but the rooms are very large and clean with good powerful hairdryers and strong showers with plenty of hot water. No iron. Everything you need in the kitchens, pans, cutlery, 2/4 rings and oven. Apartments have separate bedrooms, studios don't, but large rooms. Some have interlinked rooms too. Welcome tea and coffee but buy or bring your own afterwards. They sell milk and cola etc in the reception area.
In the grounds there is a large covered pool and a baby pool. (The nudist area is on the 10th floor with their own pool, you need a passkey to enter.)
Letting the hotel down is the 'main' pool. The bar/cafe was shut (as November) so they lost a lot of money there as folks were bringing their own drinks down to the pool area. The changing/toilet facilities were ancient and totally inadequate. The shower and hairdryer were broken, the doors did not fit in the space so would not close. The 1 toilet was passable but the whole thing was down some concrete steps into a noisy 'engine room', like something from the 1950's. Men's and women's side by side too. Needs completely revamping given the amount of people it is supposed to serve. However we didn't struggle for sunbeds and it was a nice quiet area with a lifeguard.
Overall we enjoyed the break which was price reflective for this time of year. The grounds are pretty with lights and a small pond, mini golf and swings etc for the children. A marquee which had a private party in it one day. Several cats and chickens roam around.
All the staff were friendly and helpful, can't fault them."
