H10 Las Palmeras

"Having stayed at four different 4- and 5-star hotels across Tenerife and Gran Canaria, I can confidently say that family vacations are ultimately about creating special memories for our children—and H10 Las Palmeras delivered that in abundance. The hospitality here is truly remarkable—welcoming, funny, down-to-earth, and genuinely caring. Coming from a place where everything needs a rule or a permission form, I was so glad to see that southern hospitality is alive and well here—heartfelt, funny, and wonderfully relaxed. Iris from the animation team was so friendly that every activity felt like playing with close family and best friends! We were also lucky to meet such a fun group of fellow guests who were eager to join in the fun. Alex is absolute magic and truly a man in the right place! His charisma and vibrant energy are impossible to miss. Watching him walk through the restaurant at dinner to scout for kids was something I’ve never seen elsewhere. While our son doesn't usually jump up to dance, the Mini Disco was so engaging that even adults sat around watching with pure joy (I only hope that when I’m older, kids will gather around my table shouting, sorry I mean singing "La-la La-la LAAAA" into my ears!). Alex's energy on the dance floor during evening shows was equally contagious. Noelia and Iris made our son feel so special by making him an "official" team member. He proudly wore their t-shirt, whistle around his neck, pen tucked in his collar, counting a score, acting as a referee. Being greeted and remembered by name—all three of us—was a personal touch I’ve never experienced at any other hotel. Even the reception staff recognized us by the end of our stay they knew exactly why we came to their desk and were kind enough to turn a blind eye when I came down without spare cash! The food in the restaurant was good, with plenty of variety (though as a potato lover, I’d always welcome boiled potatoes alongside fries). What truly sets this hotel apart are the staff’s thoughtful gestures: First Night Welcome: We checked in very late, just minutes before the buffet closed. As staff were packing away the food, a lovely team member noticed my son's hungry eyes looking at the dessert section and brought a whole tray of sweets directly to our table. In my son's eyes, that single moment instantly made this the best hotel in the world. Birthday Celebrations: One evening, I witnessed another touching moment when at least five staff members gathered to dim the lights, bring out a birthday cake with a lit candle, and sing Happy Birthday to a guest. It was incredibly heartening to see that level of care. Playing ping-pong at night became one of our absolute favorite traditions and a standout memory. (A quick note: please don't install extra lighting in that area! Bright lights would spoil the magic). The evening shows prioritized quality over length, which we really appreciated: Enjoying live music in the background while playing table tennis with my son was wonderful. Watching the acrobatic trio from the front row had all three of us spellbound. The intimate stage setting feels so close and personal compared to massive, distant stages. I was pleased to notice that the hotel, including the pool area and swimming pool itself, is wheelchair-friendly and accessible. Hotel & Equipment Refresh: While island hotels in this bracket have some age, parts of the property looked a bit dated. Refreshing the game equipment (such as new rubber on the ping-pong paddles and a tuned-up foosball table) would go a long way. Room Maintenance: Room cleaning was excellent every day with fresh towels. However, the shower door leaked water onto the floor (needs a fresh seal), and the thermostat labels were completely worn off. TV Controls: As a technical person, I still couldn't get the TV remote to work and resorted to the buttons at the back of TV! A quick instruction card on operating the TV (and setting audio to Spanish instead of English for immersion) would be very helpful. I have to say that it was not an issue for us as we did spend only very little time in the room anyway. Pool Rules: We wished the pool rules were just a touch more relaxed regarding casual ball play. After all, pool time with kids should be all about making a fun splash! I don’t usually book sea-view rooms, but compared to previous stays on the islands, I was either unlucky or design/layout of the other hotels were more forgiving. More importantly, the proximity to neighboring bars and restaurants brought significant night noise, with loud music continuing deep into the night. While we got used to it after a few days, it did slightly affect the otherwise great location. Have you considered installing triple-glazed windows or balcony doors to help isolate the rooms from the street noise? Despite a few technical areas that could use a cosmetic tune-up, the incredible heart, human connection, and personal touches at H10 Las Palmeras made this stay truly unforgettable. "Went here in September, great hotel, friendly staff. The food was varied because there was a different theme every evening. And there were two restaurants you could book, and they were very tasty. I found it super busy in the hotel. And what I find terrible is putting a towel down to have the best spot. But otherwise a fine hotel"

"It is a family-friendly, warm, and comfortable hotel. It is located in an area where you have everything at hand. The beach is right in front of the hotel, a fantastic promenade for walking and enjoying the scenery. The staff is fantastic. Always attentive to the smallest detail, they made us feel very, very comfortable."
