H10 Conquistador

"Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 9 nights on a half board basis in mid/late June. We had a lovely time - it is a gorgeous hotel with lovely pools, very clean and extremely friendly/helpful staff. There was a great atmosphere around the hotel with staff wearing football shirts for the World Cup and the games being shown in different parts of the hotel. The rooms are light and spacious, plenty of wardrobe space and a nice bathroom with big waterfall showers. The only few gripes we had with the room was the air con wasn’t the best (there was a fan which really helped but this was covered in dust which I think contributed to a cold) and there is no small light for the bathroom - just one really bright main light that would definitely wake others up if you used it in the night. The beds also weren’t the comfiest we’ve ever slept on but they were okay. We had a gorgeous view from the first floor over the pool and the sea. The balconies are quite small - you can just about fit the table and chairs on there and not much else if you have the drier rail out for clothes. We were half board so just had breakfast and some evening meals in the hotel. There are so many options - grilled meats, fish, salad bar, wok station, pizza station, pasta station, all cooked fresh. For breakfast there were omelettes, pastries, standard eggs/bacon/sausage etc, toasties, pancakes, churros, fruit, also a crepe station where you can choose your own toppings. Definitely something for everyone although we did find the evening meals a bit repetitive after a few nights. The restaurant did get busy but we never had to wait too long for a table and staff were attentive. The pool areas are lovely and clean, there is a main large cold pool and then a smaller warmer one as well as an adults only infinity pool looking out onto the sea. The infinity pool was lovely and relaxing. The beds around the infinity pool were always taken by mid morning. There is a policy of not being able to reserve sun beds but I personally didn’t see this getting enforced as several times we struggled to find sun beds by mid afternoon but there were many reserved by towels even though nobody was occupying them for a while, so I’m not sure if this policy just applies to early morning. You also need cash for pool towels - €15 deposit per towel. There is a gym which you can book but this is very small and has a maximum capacity of I think 5 or 6 people. The treadmill was out of order and the free weights only go up to 20kg so what you can do in there is limited. The location is great, it’s right on the beach front and only a short walk away from the golden mile. There’s a gate leading onto the beach which opens using your room key wristband. There is security on the front door who checks wristbands as you enter so only residents can go into the hotel. We had a late flight home and were able to get a courtesy room for over an hour as nobody else had booked it before/after, which we were really grateful for! This can be booked at reception from 8am on the day of checkout and is a proper room with beds and a bathroom. The staff really are lovely and so helpful, especially on reception. We had a lovely holiday and definitely would stay again."

"Overall a good Hotel, food was exceptional, staff were friendly, rooms were cleaned daily if required, entertainment was good in general, it finishes around 10 pm which is early, they put on shows, dont know how regular, we experienced the White Party their 1st of the season and what a show it was fantastic!!!, Some small issues with cockroaches in the rooms, coming to the end of our stay it seemed understaffed as it was busying up, kids entertainment was limited but we came in term time, they had two kids entertainers and they get 5 ⭐ all day"
