"Family of 4 travelling. Well what can I say. It started out alright but ended pretty badly. 3 of the 4 of us contracted gastroenteritis. Whether it was related to the hotel or not I don’t know but there were some concerning things noticed. Firstly, food selection was good and was decently tasty. It was never hot though, and food seemed to lie out for some time. There were far too many people at the hotel which resulted in many times where the restaurant would have no wine glasses or cups and you spent time looking for these. A few times we sat outside and all we could smell was sewage (recurring theme) Sometimes there was a queue of 30 mins to get into the restaurant. Never an enjoyable experience honestly, a complete stress environment, it was so loud and overcrowded all the time. Coffee machines never working and sometimes there were mix ups with the wine taps meaning you’d get sangria instead of wine. Snack bar food always seemed to like it had sat out for hours at any point. The pan with the burgers had fat solidifying at the bottom, so it had been out a while at least. Never ate anything from there. Seemed like they were always waiting for it to empty before cooking anything fresh. The hotel toilets are also a disgrace. Urinals blocked off, toilets out of service and they didn’t see that they were cleaned regularly. Not great considering how many guests it had. The cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. The pool bar pool area and even down at the kids pool just reeked of sewage. The hotel is basically split across 4 levels. We were in C block and you had to go down 3 levels to get to the kids pool. Down there we couldn’t find any toilets, so everything is a trek to get anywhere. The pools were freezing as well, none of them heated when we were there. Rooms are in real need of refurbishment, definitely not 4 star quality. It’s 3 star at a push. The evening shows are miles away down by the kids park and football pitch. Entertainment always seemed to start pretty late, around 9.30 if I remember. Service was good though, can’t fault the staff, always seemed to be helpful but they seemed up against it with the number of guests. Would I come back? Absolutely not. Serious work required by new ownership to get it up to scratch."

"We intentionally booked this hotel as it at least had a slide for my daughter to use, but on arrival this was closed, and had been for some time. So not the best of welcomes No extractor in the bathroom, meaning mirror steamed up everytime. Daily maid service was good, cleaning the room, and making the beds. Coffee at lunchtime was ony available from the bar not the restaurant, and drinking from paper cups isnt 4 star. Only 1 restaurant available to dine at, for a four star, would have expected at least 2. The restaurant feels more like a work/school canteen. Regulaly ran out of spoons for desserts, and had to request from various staff to replenish them. Fizzy drinks oftern flat, and the red wine wasnt the best quality, and I ended up paying for individual glasses instead. Staff in the canteen were quick to clear tables, although having to queue to get into the restaraunt isnt good, along with not starting dinner service until 7pm seems a bit late. Plenty of food options, but often food was tepid, not hot. The restaurant also gets loud with too much noise. Spacing between the sunloungers was very 'cosy' often too close and little space to move them around. Paper plates to eat off in the poolside bar wasnt very attractive. Thorughout the whole of the 1 week stay, none of the urinals were working in the mens toilet, so had to use just 2 cubicles, so can imagine the cleanliness of these after a days' use! Outside theatre could do with some redesigning, puting some tables with the chairs so it becomes more socialable whilst watching the acts. Good location as only 15 mins walk to the beach, and some restaurants, with local bus service right outside hotel. Hotel bar needs some more furniture to give it a better atmosphere, and better quality outside the bar."

"We had a good stay at the hotel overall. The hotel was clean, our room was spacious, and it was nice and quiet at night, allowing us to get a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The pool area was a highlight, particularly the lifeguards and pool staff, who were attentive and on the ball at all times. It was reassuring to see how closely they monitored the area, especially with children around. The entertainment team were also great and helped create a fun atmosphere. The food was good overall, although the variety could have been better as it became a little repetitive. One area for improvement would be the facilities around the children’s pool. Having additional toilets and a bar closer to this area would make a big difference, as the walk to the nearest facilities was quite a trek, especially when spending most of the day by the pool with children. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. With a little more variety in the food and better access to facilities around the children’s pool, the experience would be even better. We would like to thank the friendly staff and entertainment team for helping make our holiday enjoyable."
