"We came as a group of nine Adults .Aged between 18 and 50s, Plus one 5 year old. We have been to Tenerife twice yearly for about 15 years . The last 8 in Los Cris. We have stayed at lots of surrounding hotels . We know you get what you pay for . We have stayed at around 6 others with similar stars/price. The first thing i would say is if you are offered room 355 do not stay up there . We complained about 5 times about the sewerage smell that comes up in bathroom every night and takes over room. This is a smell so strong you cannot go in bathroom until cleared. We were not offered room swap . We also had to clean the room ourselves as the ceiling fan was full of Dirt:dust . Curtains dirty . Bottle caps from previous people in draws .We were also both bitten numerous times . Something that has never happened to us before. I know this can happen but i don’t think the smell helped ! I have to say the younger members of the group had no problem with their rooms (smell wise)but were in newer side of hotel . The other issue . In the 10 days we stayed some of us got sun beds twice . (not all of us could )They open at 10 but people have the towels laid on floors over parasols. It’s the worst i have seen! The staff are not helpful at all and tell you to take peoples towels off , avoiding confrontation for themselves and putting on customers . Other hotels have staff to help manage this issue appropriately .Luckily because we have previously stayed at other hotels , we used the pools and facilities in those , and got sun beds easily. They don’t seem to mind if you’re buying drinks/food . There is no pool bar only what you see at the front of the hotel . We did not like sitting out the front in our pool attire but others may not mind. (the corner bar is closed) We arrived at 11am - no check in until 4 . We also could not extend any of our rooms for late check out . The maid knocked our door at 11:30 am and pointed at her watch then stood outside the door .Check out is at 12. They do have tiny luggage room that covers your clothes in sawdust. Shower room is ok and they give you a towel if you ask . I have to stay i would not stay here again. My family who had no big issues although not happy with cleanliness ,also said due to the sun bed and pool issues they would not stay again either . I will still come back to Los cris in winter but to another hotel . For us we want basics . Clean room No smells . A sun bed . Friendly Staff. Although i will say the restaurant staff who serve drinks out front are lovely."

"Arrived approximately 10pm and allocated room 301. End off the block up 6 flights of stairs. No lift so carried cases only to discover room dated & looking onto busy road and unpleasant. Returned to reception and asked for alternative room away from road. Informed additional cost €10/ night and agreed would stay one night and move in morning as getting late. Went to reception early allocated another room in another block. 324. Dragged cases down and back up stairs again. Keep fit for a 66 year old ! Not a concern for staff no offer of help or sympathy. Looked out balcony new room only to observe pathetic residents booking space with towels awaiting sun bed being unlocking ceremony at 9.50 prompt. Later in day awful sewages stench in room coming from toilet. Open windows and closed doors and eventually cleared. 2 days later toilet started leaking and to be fair quickly fixed once reported. Apartment has all basic facilities but remember matches to light cooker hob. All in all hotel great location and relatively comfortable but think return visit unlikely as attitude of staff hit and miss. Generally polite and helpful but when leaving tried to extend room due to late pick up but room had been let. Assured shower and towels available later in day but when went to collect towels clown behind counter said sometimes here sometimes not come back later. For reason there will not be a later."
