"Stayed for 10 days
The Good
- Lovely spacious suite with a fabulous sea view
- 2 beds, lounge area, inside dining table, kitchen, bathroom and lots of storage/hanging space
- Bathroom a little outdated but it did what it needed to do (be careful stepping in and out to not catch your foot on the shower screen)
- Suite has everything you need for a B&B stay (coffee machine, toaster, kettle, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, fridge, sink, microwave and work top cooker, including a basis selection of crockery and cutlery)
- Safe available for a cost of 30 Euro for 10 nights
- Air Con - 20 Euro refundable deposit on check out
- 2 great pools, no pool wars, plenty of sunbeds but could do with a few more umbrellas (not heated but quite pleasant once you get over the initial ooooo)
- Lovely selection for breakfast from cereals, bread and pastries, continental and fully cooked. Coffee/Tea, juices. They also do something a little different each day in addition
- Dont forget your little card as you need this stamping for each meal included in your stay
- Check is is 4pm, check out is 12Noon but you can pay to extend if they are able too
- Please note there is a room for luggage and showers in the pool side toilets (near reception) and also in the gym if you would prefer not to pay for a later checkout. We found this out after paying 50 Euros
The Bad
- Whilst a lovely selection breakfast could be a bit hit and miss with regards to temperature of the hot food. There were a couple of days where it seems the heated plates just hadnt been turned on and the food was cold
- The Hotel gets very busy over a weekend with Spanish guests. Presume this hotel is a little like our English Premier Inns - This isnt really a bad more of a observation
- Sea View means steps - Lots of them - Infact 69 to be prescise up to Floor E
- There is a ramp which you can use instead but we needed someway of burning off the cocktail calories
- Whilst the rooms were clean the towels were only changed twice in our 10 days, it would have been nice to have clean towels every other day and clean sheets - but thats just being picky
The Ugly
- Hotel bar closes at 5pm
- Understand staff work long hours but it would have been nice to have the option of a drink at the bar after going out for dinner (we did buy our own and used the fridge)
- MUSIC around the pool !!! Piped music comes out of the speakers by both pools. Very pleasant, not too loud and a good selection. The reception pool can at times be not at all relaxing as the Pool SOS staff then play their own music (DJ Aqua Fit) very loud and added on to this one day a 3rd set of music was being played by some guests around the pool who seemed to be continuing their night of partying. We moved to the top pool for peace and quiet
- Marijuana - During our stay there was an overwhelming smell throughout the hotel and at times coming through our bathroom window. Understand this isnt something the hotel can control but Im glad we were a couple travelling and not a family with small children
There are some lovely bars and restraurants within walking distance (as in 5 minutes)
Chicagos do lovely cocktails, have all the sports on and do the most amazing ribs. Fab selection of live singers too
Taurus - Steak House - Prawn and avocado cocktail was the nicest I have ever had. Mixed grill had a great selection of meat however they all tasted the same. Live singer on some nights
Overseas is a great little Asian Dining experience - Highly recommended. We had the set meal for 2 which was perfect
They are both very close to each other
A taxi to Los Cristanos centre will cost under 4 Euro
A taxi to Las Americas will cost under 10 Euro
There is a taxi rank over the road from the hotel..
All in all we had a lovely 10 days away and would recommend this hotel to friends and family, despite The Bad and The Ugly
The staff were very friendly and helpful and their English was exceptional
Thank You"
