Tinerfe Garden

"Honest review here. I stayed here around 20 years ago for my first ever trip to Tenerife and after many return visits to the island I was looking for the cheapest deal for personal reasons to take the family away for a week for a relaxing holiday, Tinerfe gardens suited that. I do remember it being a really small pool so was worried that the kids would not enjoy as been use to far bigger pools but it was perfect for the amount of guests that stay. The best bit of all is not waking up early to join the rush in putting towels out on sunbeds. This isn’t allowed and pool opens at 10. We use to go for breakfast and not get round the poo till 11-11.30 and their still be lots of sunloungers around the pool side. Pool table and bar around the pool serving plenty of drinks at reasonable prices. Our hotel room was good enough for what we paid, my mum and dad’s room was superb which had recently been refurbished, number 90 at the back. Large terraces with brick built bbqs if you fancy cooking. Decent fridge freezers and microwave and ovens that are spotless inside the apartments. Beds ok I did get a bad back some nights but I do back home as well. Mum and dad said their beds were good and had comfortable sleeps. When you do look around you do see high gate fences and your back of your terrace doors all have like jail style bars across them but this added a good sense of security. I did not have anything stolen etc and I didn’t get a safe. Excellent location with many restaurants that offer 3 courses for 16ish euros per person or if you want to go all out theirs everything you need. 10 or so min walk to the beach with even more bars and restaurants to choose from. Cleaners come round every 2 days but then not on the day before your about to leave. So twice for a week. We did need more towels but cleaners who were close by gave us some extra. All in all a great stay especially for the price we paid. A holiday is what you make of it! Don’t be put off by any negative reviews although when I was reading through they was lots of positives Enjoy your stay if you come here 😃"

"Just stayed here for 8 nights with my son. We booked a studio apartment. We have had a really lovely stay. The studio apartment we had was at the very top of the complex in the renovated rooms. It was fun getting our suitcases up to the top even with the ramps! Haha The room itself was perfect. Very clean and spacious with lots of storage space including hangers for your clothes. Many drawers. Table and chairs plus a sofa with an extra table. 2 single beds pushed together which is all that was needed for the two of us. Beds actually were really comfy, extra blankets provided in the cupboard if you got cold. A fully equipped kitchen, including a full size fridge freezer, oven, microwave, kettle, hob and toaster. The freezer came in handy to keep ice blocks frozen and I bought some ice trays from home to make ice cubes. There was pots, pans, frying pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses and mugs all in the cupboards. We made omelettes for breakfast. Bring your own washing up liquid and sink sponge though as they were not provided. They did supply tea towels. Also bring your own hair dryer and hand soap. The air-con was amazing and ice cold. You can control the fan speed and temperature settings. We had a small balcony outside with a table and 2 chairs and there was also a clothes drying rack attached to the wall. There was also a dust pan and brush left in a small cupboard inside incase you wanted to sweep the floor more often. The house keepers came every other day and cleaned, made the beds, changed towels, mopped the floors etc. Never had any issues with outside noise or noisy neighbours. The pool was fab. Opened at 10am til 7pm, never had any sun bed wars. Most days the chairs were still half empty even at 2pm. Plenty of umbrellas to go around and the pool was cleaned daily. Nice little bar selling food, drinks and ice creams which played music throughout the day. There's a luggage room you can leave your luggage. We arrived early before our room was ready so we left our luggage to go get some food. The wifi was excellent. Reached all the way up to our room at the back of the hotel and worked great around the pool. For the price I paid, I'm so happy to have found this gem of a place. Within walking distance (less than 5 mins) to the Mercadona supermarket and many many bars/eateries and shops. 10 mins max walk to the beach. Would definitely come back! (One thing to mention is as we booked a studio, everything was all in one room, I could hear the fridge clicking on and off throughout the night when it got to temperature, but this is no fault of the place as all fridges do this, I'm just a light sleeper!) Ear plugs helped!"

"Been there tonight 10th Oct , 2 out of five of us happy with meal , I had steak med/rare tough as boot , my wife had pork loin dry as anything, said same to staff , like water of duck back, What’s there 7-8 years ago and this was a chance to impress but never again ."
