"The Princess Inspire offers a pleasant, comfortable stay with pleasant staff, though there are a few notable gaps in facilities, housekeeping and dining variety which keeps it from reaching its full potential.
The Positives
* Friendly Staff: The front desk team greeted us warmly upon arrival and quickly helped us with all we needed to know about the hotel. Housekeeping staff were pleasant & courteous. The restaurant staff were always keen to welcome you with a smile, they worked efficiently in getting you seated, there were 3 members of staff who stood out to us, who would always ask if we’d enjoyed our meals.
* Great Location: The property sits within easy walking distance of the lovely walk along the sea front and local bars & restaurants without it being overly noisy.
* Comfortable Setup: The room was spacious, however it lacked a dressing table, despite there being enough room for one. The bed was enormous, comfortable and provided an excellent night's sleep.
* Decor: the hotel is beautiful decorated and very modern, all communal areas are spotlessly clean. The exclusive solarium area is so lovely & peaceful, we thoroughly enjoyed the Bali beds. The gym isn’t the best equipped gym but you can still get some good workouts in with the smith machine, cable machine & full set of dumbbells as well as some decent cardio equipment which were all well maintained.
* We didn’t get chance to use the spa, despite it being free to us to use. We booked it for a late afternoon (using the excellent booking system & app) only to be advised that a party of 11 wanted it at the same time so they took priority over my party of 2. We did book for the following day but it was a ridiculously hot day and I couldn’t face using a sauna so we didn’t bother.
Areas for Improvement
* Inconsistent Housekeeping: The room was not always cleaned to a high standard during our stay, and the in-room coffee pods were frequently forgotten and left unreplaced.
* Limited Buffet Selection: The choice of food in the main buffet restaurant was far too limited, with very repetitive options from day to day. As we had a junior suite we were able to eat in the à la carte restaurant every night & thank god we did as we found the food in there much better quality though I’m not sure I’d class it as à la carte. However, there were some choice dishes which you could pay an additional supplement for…….this was not recorded in the holiday description (I blame the tour operators for this) again if you paid the supplement you received a higher standard and better quality food. It was the same with some alcoholic drinks & cocktails…..all the popular drinks required an additional supplement, mojitos for example. We didn’t mind paying that little extra, as it is only a small supplement but I found it a little annoying as I feel it should be down to the tour operators to let people know about this. The supplement is well worth paying for the steak & foie gras as it has to be one of the nicest steaks I’ve ever had.
Overall, it is a pleasant & peaceful place to stay, with lovely staff but paying closer attention to detail to choice in the main buffet restaurant and cleaning routines would vastly improve the experience."
