"Looks lovely, but we would NEVER return!!!!
Family of 5 ages 23 to 54. Stayed for 2 weeks.
Unfortunately, this hotel has been a massive disappointment and I honestly wouldn’t recommend it to any one of my friends or family….
I’ll start with the positives — the hotel itself is very clean and looks lovely. Unfortunately, that’s about the best thing I can say.
The service is completely inconsistent. One minute staff are friendly and helpful, the next they are rude and make you feel like you’re an inconvenience. It also feels like you’re not allowed to actually have fun without someone having an issue with it. We came on holiday to relax and enjoy ourselves, not feel like we have to watch everything we do. Even had a member of staff in the restaurant be rude to us due to us ordering drinks and one being missing his answer was ORDER THEM ALL AT SAME TIME! I said we did its missing and then got a head shake and a tut (utterly rude to be honest).
The food is disappointing, with nowhere near enough choice for what you would expect from a hotel of this standard. After a few days it becomes repetitive and underwhelming. Cold and awful meat if you like pizza I mean that’s ok!
The entertainment on most nights has also been hit and miss and definitely not what we expected. Pools lovely a clean but your not allowed to fun as soon as you make a noise or a little splash then someone appears and tells you off like you are a school. Animation team tried there hardest to make it fun but no one ever joined in. Best part of the day was when them guys played music as normally all day everyday the music around the hotel has been awful spa music on repeat all the time where ever you go.
The first week. The lifts were constantly broken, and this was a much bigger issue for us than simply being an inconvenience. We came away with my mum, who cannot manage the stairs, so having lifts regularly out of order caused a real problem for her. When you have a guest who relies on the lifts to get around the hotel, you expect them to be working and reliable.
The air conditioning in our room also doesn’t work properly, making the room uncomfortable, especially at night. For a hotel in Tenerife, you would expect working air conditioning to be one of the absolute basics! We had three separate room 1 out of the 3 worked!
We also PAID to use the hotel’s laundry service, only to have T-shirts returned with the writing/designs burnt and damaged. You pay extra for a professional service and somehow get your clothes back in a worse condition than when you handed them over!
But by far the most concerning thing was a new bottle of perfume disappearing from our room. It was there in the morning, the room was cleaned, and when we returned it was gone.
I complained to reception about the missing perfume and, strangely enough, the very next day the perfume was dropped back off at our room. Funny that! No proper explanation as to where it had been or why it had disappeared in the first place. I’ll let people make their own minds up about that, but the whole situation left us feeling extremely uncomfortable about leaving personal belongings in our room. I have never had this in any other hotels we have been to make you feel very uncomfortable and the trust is gone!
For the money people pay to stay here, we expected MUCH better! Service, and overall experience. We have been to better 3 star hotel in the passed that are so much better and helpful 4/5 stars you would expect to have a great time.
Yes, it photographs beautifully. Yes, it’s clean. But a nice-looking hotel means very little when the actual holiday experience doesn’t match it.
Between the inconsistent service, poor food choice, broken lifts that caused problems for my mum, air conditioning that doesn’t work properly, disappointing entertainment, damaged clothing and the bizarre situation with our missing perfume, we would absolutely not return and couldn’t recommend this hotel based on our experience.
A very disappointing holiday at a hotel that looks far better than the experience it actually provides.
I have sent a formal complaint to TUI also as a family on a family holiday, we spent a lot of money to come here all inclusive with three rooms. And have been left pretty upset by everything.
I would say if you want to go on holiday to read a book for the time you are here and eat out all the time then this hotel would be ok! But if you want to have a bit of fun and interact with people then maybe this is not for you and remember put you perfume in you safe lol! (Ridiculous)"
