"Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Worst accommodation EVER!!!
From the very moment we arrived, the experience was shockingly poor. After a 4½-hour flight, we were met by the most unpleasant receptionist imaginable. There was no welcome, no smile, no conversation, and absolutely no interest in us as guests. We were handed a room key with barely a word spoken and vaguely pointed in a rough direction, left to fend for ourselves. There was no offer of help, no explanation of facilities, and no basic courtesy whatsoever.
Only then did we discover that our room was three levels up with no lift, which was exhausting and completely unacceptable after travelling for hours. This set the tone immediately and made it clear that guest comfort is not a priority here.
The room itself was extremely basic. While I can tolerate a simple room if everything else is good—or even just reasonable—nothing else was. The beds were two singles, both with mattresses so hard it honestly felt like sleeping on wooden boards. Any chance of a decent night’s sleep was impossible. To add insult to injury, when we checked the balcony, we were horrified to find that our view was nothing more than the side wall of the neighbouring building, blocking light and making the room feel even more claustrophobic.
Totally disappointed and appalled by both the room and the appalling customer service, we immediately requested to be moved. The receptionist was once again completely uninterested, unhelpful, and dismissive, appearing surprised that we were unhappy and advising that nothing could be done until the following morning when management would be available. No apology, no empathy, no attempt to resolve the issue—just indifference. The only positive interaction we had at this stage was with the Jet2 representative, who was genuinely helpful and understanding.
Thankfully, we were eventually moved to another room. While the standard and bed comfort remained much the same, we were at least relieved to have a proper view, which helped slightly to soften what had already been an awful start to our holiday. However, first impressions count, and this one was so bad it overshadowed much of our stay.
Overall, this was a hugely disappointing experience due to terrible staff attitudes, complete lack of customer care, uncomfortable beds, and unacceptable room allocation. A warm welcome, basic manners, and some interest in guests would go a long way—but sadly, none of that was present here. I would not recommend this place to anyone."
