"Mynd Adeje Review We had previously stayed at Mynd Yaiza in Lanzarote, so we decided to give Mynd Adeje a try for 14 nights — and it absolutely did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, there was a wonderful sense of family and warmth from every member of staff, and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Ebrina at reception, who gave us each a refreshing drink. She had a big smile, was always happy to see us, and nothing was ever too much trouble. During our stay, Simone, Naomi and Sylvia — also on reception — were just as helpful, friendly and eager to assist whenever we needed anything. The reception area features an all-night bar, games, and a comfortable space to relax and chat. Around the hotel, you’ll also find chilled water fountains — such a great idea, saving you money on bottled water and helping the environment too. Half board at Mynd is a really unique experience. Instead of set meals, you get a daily credit added to an app on your phone. This means if you choose to eat out one evening, you still have the credit to spend on drinks or lunches up on the rooftop — brilliant, and something I wish more hotels would offer! The restaurant staff were outstanding, especially Diego, who made us feel like long-lost friends from the start. He was so warm and welcoming — and when he sang Happy Birthday to me, what a voice! Miguel, Enron, Neil, and all the chefs and waiting team were fantastic too; they went above and beyond to make every meal special and memorable. The food was great overall — the only small suggestion would be a little more variety for those with dietary needs, like my wife Karen, who is gluten-free. At the bars, Pierre and Eva served amazing cocktails with a smile and always gave top service. Both the main pool and the rooftop pool were kept spotlessly clean, with plenty of tables, chairs and sun loungers available whenever we wanted them. The rooftop pool and bar was our favourite spot — perfect for sipping cocktails while watching the sunset. Our room was spacious, and every room has a small balcony, which was lovely. It was always immaculately clean. We met Olga, our housekeeper, a few times — she always had a warm greeting and a smile, even though her job must be tough working in such heat. If you’d like a kettle in your room, just ask — they brought one straight away for my morning cuppa, which was much appreciated! The beds were very comfortable, and we always had plenty of hot water. There was no shortage of activities. We joined the morning yoga sessions every day, and tried a sound bath by the main pool one morning — the teacher was excellent, though I’d suggest moving this one to the rooftop, where it would be quieter and even more relaxing. Each afternoon around 4 or 5pm there was something new to try: we did soap making, cocktail workshops, wine tasting, painting with a glass of wine, and even learned how to make a traditional barraquito — all included, which was a lovely touch. This has honestly been the most relaxed holiday we have ever had. The whole hotel has such a special atmosphere — full of happiness, warmth and genuine care. We honestly can’t wait to come back. "We visited for 5 nights which included a buffet breakfast and €30 a day to spend in the restaurant or bars. We visited this hotel 5 years ago and it was amazing however sadly this year it was no where near as good. We are a bit gutted as came here for a special birthday and obviously a well deserved break. The negatives 👎We booked a twin room but when we arrived it was a double, we asked for the beds to be split and were left to make our own beds at 11.30pm at night without access to duvet covers as they had been ‘locked away’ 👎We booked onto cocktail making to turn up and be told its not today, when we showed them we’d booked onto it they said it’s cancelled. After planning our whole day around it we spoke to reception and they just said the same thing. Would atleast expect a free cocktail as an alternative! 👎The 2 complimentary spa treatment sessions didn’t happen, when I asked the reception team didn’t know. 👎You now have to pay £20 for a ‘Balinese Bed’ session which is a padded subbed on the rooftop (they used to be free) 👎You have to pay to have a shower (£10 each) after you’ve checked out if you have an evening flight. 👎Restaurant food is very limited, although delicious it can get very repetitive but with the daily credit you feel tied into getting it 👎Some of the Rooftop bar staff were rude and had a bad attitude (there were a few who were lovely) 👎Reception didn’t seem to know what events were going on and when 👎DJ nights were no where to be seen However…some positives 👍The restaurant staff were amazing, so polite, welcoming and attentive 👍Breakfast was delicious, fresh and lots of choices to suit everyone 👍The cleaning staff were amazing 👍Overall a chilled atmosphere 👍Not full of children"

"The holiday aspect of our stay was excellent, Lovely quite and relaxing, great food and we really enjoyed the wallet system which gave flexibility of how and when we spent the "half-board" we'd paid for. Both pool areas were great, the roof terrance was great for sunsets. What really made it exceptional was the staff, friendly from the start, when I had a unfortunate stay in hospital they were just wonderful. Looking after my wife and then both of us when I returned and had to extend my stay, From the reception, restaurant, bar and cleaning staff, they made a tough situation bearable. We'd love to come back to the hotel, assuming I can afford the travel insurance!"
