"My second stay in secession at this 4 star hotel, the staff are very helpful, the hotel facilities and general accommodation are good, not a lot to do in the area but the bus service is very good and allows you to get around the island at a very reasonable cost. What let this hotel down for us this year is that it is not adult only any longer, quite a few children around the pool area this time. And, for a 4 star hotel the breakfast is repetitive and very average, the main restaurant is also very disappointing, there is an open plan kitchen but it lacks a good chef and freshly made meals. The first time we stayed the meals were very good, this year sees a marked difference. The hotel operates a digital wallet via their app, each meal is calculated and deducted from your digital wallet, for your stay you are given a nominal amount to spend against your meals at the hotel, not for everyone and gets a bit of getting used too. The hotel is let down by the catering which is way below what you would expect from a good 4 star hotel chain."

"This is a difficult review to write, as there were some excellent features to this hotel, then some that let it down, contributing to the experience that myself and my sister had last week during our week’s stay. The hotel has a lovely calm and relaxed atmosphere around the pool area and was always clean. Fernando at the pool bar, was the friendliest and most attentive staff member we came across. The room was comfortable and quiet. The half board credit app, was not too our liking. It only enabled the person booking to check credit and see online menus and prices. So you have to have your phone with you most of the time. The food in restaurant and bars were expensive and not very exciting. And the ‘daily’ credit does therefore not go far. We ate at the main restaurant 3 times in our 7 day stay. Each time there were mistakes with our food order and our waiter going to other tables whilst taking our order. It was a very chaotic dining experience those 3 times. Breakfast was similar. Usual food choice, fruit, eggs, bread etc. but often no cups, spoons, bowls. Although the staff tried keeping up with demand. We also felt some of the staff, particularly in the roof top bar were a little stand offish and we did feel a little under valued as a customer (and invisible) ! We ate at several restaurants nearby and was greeted with enthusiasm, a smile and better food! We would not return to MYND."

"We were welcomed by the reception team who helped us check in on the iPads at the desk female receptionist provided some refreshments, and she provided all the information about the hotel. The hotel is lovely, spotless clean, lovely smell and modern. The pool area is lovely, really clean and well-maintained, lots of sunbeds available at whatever time you visit. Restaurant Lamesa was lovely; Marcus, the maître d', and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Evening meals are prepared fresh for you from the menu (lots of choice). Breakfast is included but there are no sausages and I didn't see a choice to have an omelette or poached eggs. There’s plenty of options: pastries, cereals, cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurts, lots of different types of bread, coffee machines, tea and water station (cool, sparkling and hot). We only visited the rooftop bar towards the end of our holiday but wished we visited earlier - It's lovely with great views and sunset. The wallet credit worked very well and is very flexible. You can refill your water bottles for free at the water stations - great idea. My husband was quite poorly during our holiday (no fault to the hotel) and Javier and 2 female staff (sorry didn't get their names) were brilliant with the advice and kindness. We would recommend this hotel and hopefully will visit again in the future."
