Hacienda del Conde Melia Collection Golf and Spa

"Felt totally misled and disappointed with our room, should have been sea view were given a view of a golf net, I will enclose pics of what is advertised and what we received, reception were no help at all, in fact despite all the other departments in this hotel having excellent staff, the reception team lets them down. When we queried our room we were shown another room with a concrete balcony with no view at all when seated so stayed where we were, upon checkout the chap said they realised it was misleading on website and they were looking to change in a month, this did not help us at all, no compensation received for their acknowledged mistake? Reception team generally were very sketchy, we both celebrated birthdays on different days but they only sent prosecco for my husband? Please note we had emailed before mentioning birthdays and would like a nice view, both ignored, we also enquired re transfers, were quoted one price but upon booking this had gone up by 80 euros?? It was too late by then for us to find an alternative, all this inefficiency by reception really lets an otherwise nice hotel down. Good bits were the restaurants and their staff, especially yrena and the very lovely lady in the Italian restaurant, we both celebrated our birthdays there and she was so nice and food was delicious. The spa staff again were lovely, we had some lovely massages and enjoyed the spa and the meditation sessions very much. Housekeeping were good too although one day they missed turndown and delivering fresh water, again reception weren't very helpful about this accusing us of having the do not disturb sign on which wasn't the case at all rather than an apology."

"Amazing, adult only, hotel in a wonderful, as yet somewhat unspoiled, part of Tenerife. The hotel is co- located with a championship level golf course and has excellent views of the both the luscious green mountains and the wild and bluest of seas. The local coastal walls are also a must to watch the memorising Atlantic waves crashing to the rocky shore. The hotel has Traditional local styled individual buildings grouped around pools and lounging/sun bathing areas, restaurants and a small botanic garden. Everyday you’ll find a new experience, just walking around. We are sadly not golfers so cannot comment on the quality of the course itself but it’s views should be enough to merit a visit. The clubhouse restaurant is also great for lunch. Our sea view room 613, was large and traditional in style with good facilities and excellent housekeeping services. We tried all the restaurant options on offer but exceptional was the Montenegro restaurant on site. The team at the Montenegro provided the best of service to support the fantastic Michelin ‘style’ tasting menu options. The waiting staff have a good command of several languages and use their knowledge and experience of the local products used in the dishes to enhance every course. We sampled both tasting menus over the week and couldn’t have been happier. Delicious interesting food, well presented. A point to make is that this hotel is not the easiest to get to from the South airport but totally worth it. Consider your route carefully as when using the quickest option given by the sat nav, the journey involved many steep and hazardous corners to us non locals. There are options so do some research, unlike us 😩. The hotel is also around 20 minutes from the lovely town of Garachico where you will find many restaurants and shops among other things. Finally to the staff. Everyone, everywhere so friendly and helpful. Specific praise though for the lovely Daniel who greeted us on arrival late at night after our difficult drive and also of course to the wonderful Juan and Yrena from the Montenegro restaurant. You will all be remembered for your super friendly attitude and commitment to your guests. The best of places. Can’t wait to go back- via the easier but longer route. 😂"

"We had a very nice time staying for a week at the Hacienda del Conde. Our room had an excellent view of the ocean and the golf terrain adjacent to the hotel, so our mornings were usually filled with soul warming views of nature and greenery. We had a small suite in the unit right next door to the central building, so we were located perfectly versus the facilities, like reception, lobby, restaurant, spa, pools and sundeck. The hotel is not one building, rather a cluster of buildings forming a small village-esque community. Added to that the fact that the buildings cover a hill face over multiple levels it gives one some exercise exploring the facilities in 3D, which we found entertaining. All in all no negatives, nice and large room, everything sparkly clean, good breakfast and dinner settings, friendly staff. Recommended."
