Lago Resort Menorca – Casas del Lago

"Such an amazing holiday! The staff were exceptional, personally would like to thank Victor (Barman) Andres, Ethan and the manager at Thai Garden, best holiday we’ve had in a very long time so thank you. Hotel was super clean, classy and chilled. Music is on from various times throughout the day, a bit of Motown in the morning which was nice then a DJ is on from 3pm onwards, not too rowdy, just right. The food was delicious! Our favourite place to eat was the Thai Garden which is literally situated in the hotel so not far to walk. Also, the port has various restaurants which were lovely too. We experienced a restaurant just by the light house which has a beautiful sunset view, similar to cafe mambo in Ibiza, which is 15 minutes within walking distance from the hotel. We certainly will be returning next year. Thanks again to all the staff at Lago Resort!"

"Having read the glowing reviews on this hotel we were expecting great things. The breakfast area was chaos at busy times, it's set right in the centre of the walk way to reception, so if you're coming in and going out you're having to dodge people carry or waiting for breakfast, you're shown to a table by the concierge after checking in, who then takes your coffee order, while leaving guests (some mornings upto 10 people) waiting to be seated, honestly, check in, find a table go and get your own coffee and get rid of the barrista service, put extra coffee machines in and use the space to good use say for having some one making fresh omelette. Which brings me on to breakfast, absolutely no variation on this, the cooked breakfast was at best tepid, anaemic bacon, cold scrambled eggs even after a good stirring, and half inch thick omelette (cold) the same 3 type of warm sausages or you could boil your own egg! Usual pastries and cold meats, and fruit. Now for the pool area, absolutely no or very little shade, great if you're a sun worshipper, to get to the loungers you're walking on deep gravel which gets extremely hot without shoes on, and then your kicking it up spraying it everywhere including other sun loungers, be advised to book in advance if you want any of the balinese beds, you do get the same booking cost back in drink credits. There is pool service, the staff were great, friendly and extremely hard working. DJ played 2/3 times a week, mostly dance/trance music, good variation on other music in the afternoon, after all it is a vibe hotel, We had ground floor apartment in front of the pool, sun loungers on the large terrace would of been great, but you could have ones with balinese beds, overall clean and spacious, grab rail in the shower would be helpful, wobbly faucet. Complimentary bottle of wine and cold drinks and beer, bottle of water topped up daily (no charge!) Overall it's the staff that make this hotel and it's location to the beach and Marina."
