"After reading recent reviews, we can confirm that our experience was very similar. The room was clean and adequate, although quite basic. However, the problems quickly became apparent in the common areas and the restaurant. We found the food quality disappointing, and we also noticed issues with the presentation and handling of some food items, which did not inspire confidence. We fully agree with the comments regarding the lack of control in certain areas of the hotel. During our stay, we witnessed inappropriate behaviour from some guests, particularly related to excessive alcohol consumption. On several occasions, the atmosphere became unpleasant and even intimidating. Likewise, the no-smoking and no-vaping rules appeared to be frequently ignored without any intervention from hotel management or staff. Another issue that stood out was the lack of supervision in the communal areas. It was common to see children running around unsupervised while staff seemed to lack the support and authority needed to manage these situations. It often felt as though too much responsibility was being placed on the young entertainment team, who were doing their best under difficult circumstances. The bar service was another source of frustration. Both in the mornings and in the evenings, there was consistently only one member of staff serving the bar. This frequently resulted in long queues and excessive waiting times, especially during busy periods. It was clear that the staffing levels were inadequate for the number of guests, placing unnecessary pressure on employees and negatively affecting the guest experience. We would like to emphasise that the staff were always friendly, polite and professional. In fact, much of our frustration came from seeing them having to deal with long queues, customer complaints and difficult situations without adequate support or staffing levels. The problem was not the staff themselves, but the apparent lack of resources provided to them. Unfortunately, our stay was also affected by unpleasant interactions with other guests, which ultimately had a negative impact on our holiday. When booking a vacation, you expect to be able to relax and enjoy a pleasant environment, but that was not our experience. It is a shame because the area itself has a lot to offer. Cala'n Bosch Marina is a pleasant place to walk around and enjoy a meal, and Ciutadella is one of the most beautiful places in Menorca. However, our experience at the hotel fell well below expectations and closely reflects many of the negative reviews we have since read."
