"Visiting a river might not seem to be such an exciting idea , but when that river happens to be the mighty Amazon , I must admit expectations were a bit raised . There were two options for me , either see the origin of Amazon in Peru or the splendour of the river at Manaus Brazil . I choose the later and was fully rewarded for the choice . The amazon river at Manaus stretched as far as the eye could see and cruising on the river in a tiny boat , the sheer magnitude of its size left me speechless . The meeting of the waters where the dark waters of Rio Negro and the pale sandy coloured waters of the Rio Solimoes meet and flow side by side is a sight worth seeing . Altogether a wonderful and unforgettable experience"

"Manaus hotel is a lovely hotel with exceptional staff 👌 ALL of the staff here are so friendly and kind. It was my first solo holiday and they made it so easy with there friendliness. Breakfast was amazing as was dinner so much choice and exceptionally good food. Something for all tastes.. I was upgraded to another room with a better balcony so I could relax and read without distraction on the balcony. Nothing is too much trouble. I was lucky to get another room as tje hotel is constantly full which says it all. The rooms are spotless and cleaned regularly. The pool is small but was perfect and not at all noisy. The ladies at the pool bar are so lovely and friendly. I honestly can say this has been the most amazing experience as a first solo holiday because the staff were just so welcoming and kind. Thank you manaus hotel for making my first solo holiday experience amazing 👏 "

"Away from the noisiest parts of Arenal the hotel was fine for a short break. Reception staff could have been friendlier and more informative when checking in, but the room we were allocated was fine and overlooked the pool and the trees. Housekeeping was very good with rooms cleaned and towels replaced daily. Only issue with the meals was that some of the food on the evening buffet wasn't replenished quickly enough, but otherwise meals were okay and there was enough choice, except for the desserts Surprised other reviews haven't mentioned the noisy cockerels which roam nearby, as they could be head early morning and throughout the day, even when the room doors were closed. I would recommend the hotel if its reasonably priced, but it might be an idea to take some earplugs if the cockerels are still around!"
