"I recently stayed at this hotel and honestly, I had a really good time overall. The location was probably one of the best things about it. I loved being able to just walk out of the hotel and instantly have bars, restaurants, and entertainment nearby. The atmosphere was always lively and there was usually something going on, which made the stay feel a lot more fun.
The rooms were alright and did the job, but I definitely think they could use some better soundproofing. Around 10 at night, you could still hear the outside music pretty clearly even with the windows closed. It’s great when you’re outside enjoying the shows and nightlife, but not so great when you’re trying to sleep. If they improved that, the rooms would be so much better.
For the price though — around £1900 for a family of 4, including return flights from Bristol and a 5-night stay — I actually think the hotel was worth it. I was surprised by how big the hotel was and how much there was to do. Everything was also very clean, which you kind of expect from a hotel, but they genuinely kept the place in really good condition.
The amenities were really fun too. They had entertainment games and activities going on, including ping-pong tournaments and games like Sjoelen (I’m probably spelling that completely wrong). Somehow I actually won with 198 points, which I’m still proud of honestly. So yeah, the hotel definitely wasn’t boring.
Food-wise, I didn’t try loads of different things because I mostly stuck to chips, pizza, and that kind of stuff, but what I did have was good quality and tasted fresh. I’d say the variety just wasn’t the best for children or people with a more basic palate, so after a while there weren’t loads of options that really suited me. I was also a bit disappointed that there weren’t pancakes at breakfast, and there wasn’t really a snack bar by the pool either, which would’ve been nice during the day. One thing I can’t complain about though was the Granadina — easily the best non-alcoholic drink I had there.
That being said, if you can’t really find something you want to eat or drink at the hotel, I’d highly recommend visiting Sky Dream or Ses Ones, which are only a few steps away from the hotel. It’s really convenient, and what makes it even better is that they’re right on the seafront, so the views and atmosphere there are amazing as well.
Most of the service during the stay was really good. The staff at the bar were friendly and patient, even though I was probably going up every five minutes for ice cream. However, I do think the service at reception could’ve been handled better. My mother asked if we could move to a quieter room because of the noise at night, and at first we were told the hotel was fully booked. Later, after checking Booking.com, there actually seemed to be rooms available. We were then told the real reason we couldn’t move was because it would involve too much work. That part of the experience was disappointing and could definitely have been dealt with more professionally.
Overall, I still enjoyed the hotel and had a good time there. The location, atmosphere, cleanliness, and entertainment were all great. The biggest issue for me was definitely the noise at night and how the room situation was handled, but apart from that, it was a memorable stay and I’d still consider coming back if the soundproofing improves in the future.
4/5 stars."
