"We were once again delighted to return to Porto Pollensa, and in particular to The Pollensa Park Hotel, where we have stayed for so many years. We upgraded to a junior suite which enhanced our stay and to wake up to such wonderful views is truly a treat! The majority of rooms in this hotel are blessed with great views which is a real plus point! The design of the suite is brilliant with a large comfortable bed from which you can enjoy the tremendous views, the bathroom is cleverly designed so that whichever of the 2 hand basins you use you can also enjoy the view! There is a lot of storage and space with a seating area. As always, the great staff made our stay incredibly positive, everyone seemed to go out of their way to look after us, which reflects very well on the hotel management. The "positive work ethic" across the entire team continues and is always outstanding, they greet every guest with a smile and do their utmost to ensure everyone is well looked after. We would like to extend a special thank you to the following staff members who, once again, made our visit so much more enjoyable: Reception: As always, we received a very warm welcome from the great Reception staff and the check-in process was very smooth and efficient. The reception staff here are just so helpful and happy, they are pleased to sort any problem, advise on the local area along with supplying pool towels and changing larger currency notes and always with a friendly greeting and a smile! Special thanks to some of the reception staff who were a delight to deal with, big thanks to Vanessa, Katia, Miguel, Steph, Dylan, Ana, Aiena and Vincenzo We stayed on an all-inclusive basis which worked really well for us, also, the idea of having your electronic door release card located as part of the wrist band is really great, no forgotten keys or cards! The food continues to be of a really high standard, we thoroughly enjoyed every dish. We faced difficult decisions every day regarding what to eat, as the huge variety made choosing quite a challenge. It’s a great setup! We love the show cooking, and the special themed nights, Oriental Night, Fish Night and Mallorcan Night were excellent, featuring a fabulous selection of food. The Restaurant: Very special thanks to the Front of House Hostess, Alexandra, she made breakfast and dinner visits to the restaurant a real pleasure! Also big thanks to Jaume, María, Yolanda, Antonia, Maise, Juan Félix, Juan, Marta, Andreas, Alice and Kika for their warm welcome every day. Chefs: What can I say, huge thanks to the amazing and extremely personable Head Chef, Manuel! Skillful, kind, enthusiastic and fun! Make sure you talk to him on the servery in the evenings. (He also makes a fabulous risotto!) Also huge thanks to chefs, Mamee, Christina, Jesus, Ndiaga, Luz, Miguel, Paco, Alicia, Paula, Isabel, Carlos and Emile... Manuel should be very proud of his Kitchen Brigade! It also remains a pleasure to see the management team in the restaurant regularly, as this helps maintain the quality and presentation of the food at a truly high standard and aso makes the guests feel special! The Bars: These are well stocked and the bar staff are always happy to help, in what is a stressful job, with so many thirsty customers to please! We never waited more than a few minutes to be served, having 2 bars open in the evening keeps things moving nicely. Our thanks to these great bar staff who went out of their way to welcome us every day: Juan, Raffa, Miguel, Alexandro, Raphael and Andreas. This hotel is a great choice for families as the Water Park is just fantastic, but hard to describe, there are different flumes, a huge bucket which fills and empties over the participants on a regular basis and a 'bouncy / climb' area. It is really quite amazing and a fantastic facility for families with children to enjoy. The Animation team were much in evidence and the Foam Party in the main pool was amazing! The evening entertainment was a good mix of live music, entertaining and 'participation events' along with acrobats and a great 'White Party' as well! As always, the housekeeping team kept our room impeccably clean, many thanks to Miranda and Annalia. We really just want to thank all the staff in all departments as they are all exceptional! What are you waiting for, get yourself to Porto Pollensa! We are planning our next visit right now!"

"This is our 3rd visit to this hotel, each time it’s been owned by a different hotel chain. Overall it’s been a very enjoyable holiday. We found the facilities to be great. Pool, splash park, communal areas, sports courts. My kids loved the play park (8 and 11 years) nothing much for little ones in the way of the park. We never had any issues getting beds by the pool with umbrellas for shade. We usual choose to go out and about in the evening so didn’t see a lot of the entertainment but the kids loved the reptile and parrot shows. The acrobatic show was also excellent. We also enjoyed the occasional day time activity (darts, rifle shooting etc). Kids loved the floating mat which was out most days. Foam party was also a massive hit with the kids. The hotel has got busier as our 10 day holiday has gone on, the communal areas start out spotlessly clean, however as the day goes on, there’s little effort to keep on top of the endless plastic cups, spillages and wrappers. This could easily be resolved if everyone took their cups back or if staff did a lap of the pool regularly to help keep on top of it. We really enjoyed the food. Wide variety of food in the restaurant which was always piping hot. Poolside for all inclusive was burgers, hot dogs, bread/toast, chicken nuggets, chips, fruit and biscuits. Staff are very hard working and we found the majority of them friendly and helpful. The part that really lets this hotel down is the rooms. We were in a family room on the ground floor. Due to the position of our room, we were usually woken up about 6am with deliveries to the hotel, which I understand can’t be helped. A/C worked well for us, small fridge wasn’t the coldest. My relatives staying in a junior suite A/C was poor and when they asked at reception about their fridge not being cold at all, they were told it’s not actually a fridge! Our family room had been given a face lift but the beds were old and rusty! When they mopped the floor, the rust from the legs of the beds would be spread over the floor. There was no window/ventilation in the bathroom, therefore there was a smell of damp and it was very shabby looking, although clean. Family rooms on the ground floor don’t have a balcony, so impossible to get anything dry. Limited storage also but we managed as a family of 4. Good facilities for cyclists, my husband hired a bike from pro cycling across the road. Disappointing the bike shop in reception didn’t open once during our 10 night stay despite saying it was open daily on the door. Apparently this is because it’s the off season for cyclists. Still plenty of cyclists around! Side note my family members junior suite had a lovely huge corner balcony but only one large chair. So couldn’t really be enjoyed! Would I stay again. Yes. Facilities and communal areas I would say are 4 star. But rooms, in particular the bathrooms are certainly not."

"Refused to put World Cup games on the big screen or the second tv at the bar. One small screen for the full hotel review. Asked at reception and answers was it’s not their job. Poor customer service bar is full sir Spain vs Portugal. Also a protector they are refusing to put on."
