"Stayed with my wife and 18 year old daughter in a garden suite room in August 2026.
Room was great and having a separate bedroom and large lounge area gave us all some space with both rooms having a fully glazed wall opening out onto a terrace and secluded garden area. Bathroom was great and had a huge wall in shower and our housekeeper was brilliant and came every day.
Hotel itself was spotless and had a nice vibe. We were bed and breakfast and the options were great and varied with the usual offerings and some amazing pastries + a pancake station and omelette station also. (Coffee was machine and not the best but not the worst either).
Usually had a drink in bar before heading out in evening and the bar staff were all fantastic and the cocktails were all hand made with good incidents and tasted great. Bar area was a little small and as we went in a huge heatwave the outside terrace was a little warm but that’s not their fault (global warming)
Location is ok and only 2 minutes from a great beach (lots of jellyfish and 2 of the 3 of us were stung) the walk into town is 30 minutes down a beautiful costal path with the beach to your right but again in the evenings even at 8pm it was so hot that by the time you reached the main restaurants you were more than a little uncomfortable (it’s 1.2 miles to town square for context)
The pool - this is why I give a slightly lower rating. Pool opens at 10am and by 8am most loungers are taken. The lifeguard is awful and sits at a trestle table about 50 meters away from the pool and does nothing but wind me up. The pool is only 5ft deep and whilst the 1st few days were ok regretably the jet2 crowd arrived and people were drinking in the pool, running and jumping all over the place, loungers reserved literally all day with no one on them and on some days despite a ban on inflatables the pool resembled a wibbet !
Maybe I am exaggerating a touch and maybe it’s my fault as I booked independently and the hotel is geared for young families.
We had lunch a few days in the hotel and again I have to say the food was really nice. No idea what evening meals were like as didn’t try but people did seem to like them and think it’s casual buffet so again target audience is young families.
I won’t return as I am probably wrong demographic but if you’re a young family then probably the perfect hotel as modern, clean and safe.
