Idyllic Majorcan retreat

On a petite, pine-speckled peninsula between two sandy coves, Ikos Porto Petro does serene settings better than most. The unspoilt natural beauty of Mondrago National Park is within arm's reach, and the picture-perfect Porto Petro Marina is just a stroll away – now that's what we call a winning location. Expect style and sophistication in spades, first-class hospitality, and tranquil vibes all-round. Oh, and all the facilities you could ask for of course.

Five pools, a pair of beaches, a truly indulgent spa, tennis courts, padel courts, restaurants, bars… we could go on. But you’ll discover all of that for yourself, along with the Ikos signature service. This is the kind of place where the drinks are ferried straight to your sun lounger, the concierge is on hand to book your private boat tour, and the complimentary one-day car rental is a Tesla. And the offering for little ones is just as bougie – think picnics, science workshops, and cooking sessions. They might even have a better time on this holiday than you will.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

Hotel highlights

Ikos doesn’t do anything by halves, and the food is no exception. Even the buffet has been given the five-star treatment, with live cooking stations plating up Japanese-Peruvian, Argentinian, and Indian dishes.

And the hits just keep coming. Spanish classics with a modern twist served and a side of sweeping sea views? Check. With an offering crafted by two Michelin-starred Chef Aduriz – who hails from noted foodie hotspot San Sebastien – you’ll be fantasising about the food long after you’ve cleared your plate. And the stars don’t stop there. The Italian restaurant features a menu crafted by Michelin-starred Ettore Botrini, while the menu over at the Asian restaurant is the work of – you guessed it – another Michelin-starred master: Chef Thiou.
The spa is like everything else at Ikos Porto Petro: understated and impressive. But sometimes you need more than just a leisurely dip in the outdoor pool to decompress. This is the stuff of serious relaxation. Signature facials, indulgent massages, and full body treatments pepper the menu, which has dedicated offerings for teens, mums-to-be, and couples – the whole family will be glowing. And not just from the healthy dose of vitamin D you’ll get courtesy of the Mediterranean sunshine.

As far as we’re concerned, you definitely deserve to go all out with a treatment but if you just fancy an afternoon spent flitting between the sauna and the heated indoor pool, there’s no judgement here. Whatever floats your boat
Did someone say aerobics? Leotards optional, enthusiasm encouraged. But don’t worry if you’re not the hip-swirling, foot-stepping type, there are plenty more activity fish in the Ikos sea. Including actual sea-based activities like canoeing and pedal boating – each of which you’ll get to do for a complimentary 30 minutes every day. Let’s rattle through the rest of the list quickfire style: Pilates, stretching, Zumba, yoga, mountain biking, aqua aerobics, tennis, padel. And breathe.

And that’s just the stuff that’s included. If you’re feeling bougie – practically guaranteed round these parts – why not plump for a private boat tour? If there’s a better way to see the Majorcan coastline we’d love to hear it.
Your little ones will be VIPs here. Ikos have taken the traditional kids’ club concept and supercharged it. Usual suspects like arts and crafts, sports, and games are still on the agenda but youngsters can also enjoy the likes of sensory play, cooking workshops, and even science sessions – sowing the seeds for future Nobel prize winners.

Teens have their own timetable of activities, while tiny tots are taken care of at the Heroes Creche. And with baby monitors, baby baths, and prams all available from reception, it’ll take the stress out of packing for baby’s first holiday.
If you fancy amping up the luxury even more – you are on holiday after all – why not spring for a Deluxe Collection room? Tailored for the discerning – but never fussy – traveller, this is all about personalising your getaway. You’ll have a dedicated Deluxe Concierge for the duration of your stay, to help you meticulously plan your holiday – all the benefits of an itemised itinerary without actually having to plan it yourself.

There are loads of other perks, too. It starts with express check-in, to get you into full holiday mode as soon as possible. You’ll also be treated to a taste of what the spa has to offer, with two complimentary 25-minute minute neck and back massages per room per stay. Add the upgraded mini bar offering, the pillow menu, and the champagne service throughout your stay, and it really is next-level luxury.
The Ikos Dine Out Service – head out to specially selected restaurants in the local area for a traditional meal.

The pool scene. The six swim spots tick off one just for grown-ups – perfect for lazy days with your nose in a book – and one exclusively for Deluxe Collection guests. Whichever one you end up lounging next to, we reckon this is slow lane days done right.

The complimentary Mini Countryman. Yes, you read that right. Stay here and you'll get one complimentary day of Mini Countryman rental to explore the island on your terms. Just make sure you pre-book!
