Pure Salt Garonda

"Great hotel! We stayed at this adults only hotel for the third time. We had a nice suite with a nice spacious bathroom, a big lovely bed, coffee machine, mini-bar, a bathtub in the suite overlooking the sea and a beautiful balcony with two sunbeds. The staff is competent and very friendly. Booked half board, where you can dine at the adjacent tapas restaurant Pinxto & Mikel, also at an Italian restaurant, we enjoyed fine dining in the hotel. Sublime! The breakfast buffet was delicious and very well taken care of! We enjoyed a perfect duo massage. Really worth it! The best of the best! We will definitely be back!"

"We stayed on the 5th floor for 7 days this October. From check in to check out the staff were proactive, attentive and kind. The breakfast buffet was of good quality and (again) the staff were on point and quick. We had a room with a garden view and zero issues with the street noise. For the price and location, this hotel is a great value and I'd strongly recommend you stay here."

"We were already at this hotel last year and were really thrilled back then. The room, cleanliness, breakfast, pool area, and above all the great location right on the beach convinced us so much that we booked the hotel again this year and even recommended it to my parents. Unfortunately, our impression has changed completely this year. Already in the hallway to the rooms, a very strong musty, damp, and moldy smell was noticeable. In our room, this smell was even significantly stronger. The bed felt damp, the bed linen was wet and cold, and the pillows also smelled musty/moldy. Even after showering, the used towels were not even close to dry after around 24 hours. Unfortunately, the ventilation in the bathroom did not work either. The air conditioning worked, but it made the room cool and damp. Particularly alarming were the visible moisture damage and traces of mold on the ceiling as well as on furnishings (coating is peeling off), including on the lampshade. Water/moisture marks were also visible on the walls, and in some places, the paint was already crumbling off. There were also clear water stains to be seen in the stairwell. The attached photos give an impression of this. Unfortunately, the problem does not seem to have been an isolated case in our room. We heard from other guests that they had also complained about the moisture and the smell and received a different room after making a complaint – although the problem is said to have existed there as well. My parents, who were at the Pure Salt Garonda a few months earlier on our recommendation, also described this problem to us. The effects were noticeable to us throughout the entire stay: All of our clothes were always damp when freshly put on. Our clothes, suitcases, and even we ourselves completely took on the musty smell. Lying in a damp bed every day is definitely not a pleasant feeling during a hotel stay – and for a 5-star establishment, it is unacceptable in our view. Added to this was a night when an extremely loud "party" took place in the neighboring room between approximately 3:00 and 4:30 a.m. Although the hotel advertises a 24-hour reception, no one was reachable between about 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. We were therefore unable to resolve the situation and ultimately had to stay awake until about 5 a.m. Also, the defective refrigerator or minibar was only repaired after three days, despite asking several times a day. It is a great shame, because the hotel actually still has many things that thrilled us so much last year: the great location on the beach, the beautiful ambiance, the pool area, the comfortable loungers, and the varied breakfast! Unfortunately, we will look for a different hotel in the future, because other hotels in the same location and in better condition are also in this price category."
