HM Balanguera Beach

"The hotel is located at a street intersection in the 2nd. row on the beach of Palma. The street in front of the hotel is extremely busy and is also used for public buses, tour buses, and supply trucks. And of course for daily trash removal. Added to this is heavy car traffic, which, despite its high density, is hardly significant. That is where the electrification makes a positive difference. The rest probably run on diesel. And the air pollution that is caused by this is simply incredible. We had our room on the 7th floor and could not open the balcony door at night because it smelled so much of exhaust fumes that we could not sleep. The breakfast is also very bad. Coffee and orange juice are undrinkable. The rest is highly mediocre, if one wants to put it nicely. The room itself was okay for the price. I found my bed to be very good. You can sleep very well in it with the doors closed. The sky bar and pool area are also fine. The staff often seems very uninterested. Of course with positive exceptions. We will certainly not come back."

"Awful room had to pay to be upgraded no storage in rooms tiny wardrobe space. no drawers .food ok nothing special girls in dining room nice .much better hotels than this in area pool area small sunbeds torn they cleaned the edge of pool with people swimmig in i steps out of pool loose. not worth four star rating should be three Very dissapointed would not return to that hotel .nice area . Dont waste your money on this one"

"This hotel is so clean, lovely reception with welcoming staff. Our room was on top floor always easy to get a lift. The room is smaller than we are used to not much hanging space but as we were only there for 4 days it was ok. No body lotion, tissues, slippers or bathrobe which we find is usually standsrd for a 4* hotel. In saying that the room was spotless, one of the best showers, and again lovely staff who looked after our room. Breakfast is 10 out of 10 for variety, cleanliness and the attentive professional staff. We never had to wait for a table. We had pizza one afternoon for late lunch it was delicious. We did have dinner one night in the hotel which was the same standered as breakfast. Downstairs pool very nice area but there are not enough beds, rooftop pool area only had 12 beds. The hotel is only 2 mins from the beach. It was very hot when we were there the a/c in room was excellent."
