"We recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it fell far short of the standard you would expect from a five-star property. The service throughout our stay was extremely disappointing. The television in our room did not work for the entire holiday. We reported the issue several times, and although someone came to look at it once, it was never fixed despite repeated requests. The pool bar was clearly understaffed and unable to cope with demand. We had lunch there on four occasions. On one day, we were told there would be a 40-minute wait just for someone to take our order, followed by another 40-minute wait for the food to arrive. When our order was finally taken, the menu had been reduced to only burgers and chicken nuggets. As the buffet restaurant is not open at lunchtime, this leaves guests with very limited food options. On another day, we were informed it would take an hour and a half to receive a simple club sandwich because the kitchen was struggling. Drink service at the pool bar was just as poor, with waits of over 35 minutes to be served. There is no table service, so you have to queue at the bar yourself, which is unacceptable for a hotel claiming to offer five-star service. The evening dining experience was even worse. On our first night at the buffet restaurant, we were simply told to find our own table. The only table available was outside, despite the extreme heat and the lack of any fans. After getting our food, no one came to take our drinks order. We tried several times to get the waitress's attention, but each time she replied, "Si, si," before walking away. Other tables around us were experiencing exactly the same problem. We finished our entire meal without receiving a single drink. It was only as we were getting up to leave that the waitress finally came over and asked if we wanted one. The food itself was also disappointing. It lacked flavour, the selection was limited, and it certainly did not meet the standard you would expect from a five-star hotel. Another point worth mentioning is the location. While this may suit some travellers, it wasn't made clear when we booked just how lively the surrounding area is. The hotel is located on what can only be described as a German party strip, with bars, loud music, and nightlife that reminded us very much of Magaluf, but catering predominantly to German tourists. If you're looking for a peaceful or relaxing five-star holiday, this is something to be aware of before booking. What made the experience even more frustrating was that, during our stay, a member of staff was walking around asking guests to leave five-star reviews and offering a free shot in return for completing one. Given the level of service we experienced, this felt completely inappropriate. Reviews should reflect genuine guest experiences and be earned through consistently excellent service, not encouraged with incentives while guests are dealing with unresolved issues and poor standards. Overall, this hotel does not deliver the level of service or dining experience expected of a five-star establishment. While the facilities have potential, poor organisation, understaffing, and consistently inadequate service meant our holiday was far from the luxury experience we had paid for. We left feeling extremely disappointed and would not return or recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a true five-star experience."

"We just came back from a couples holiday in Palma, and we absolutely loved it. The staff were excellent and were incredibly helpful with every single need of ours. Our room experienced quite a bad leak during the first night, to which we informed reception in the morning and they were very prompt in helping us. They advised we go for breakfast while they got our new room ready and by the time we finished, our bags were sent to the an upgraded room with a gorgeous sea and pool view, a bottle of Prosecco and a complimentary dinner at the à la carte restaurant! This really stood out to me as they could have simply just given us a new room, but I felt that Aubamar really puts customers experience above all else. The hotel in general is very lovely, the decor and aesthetics are gorgeous and nothing looks old or wearing down. You can tell they are maintaining everything to a high standard at all times. We did not have a single issue with cleanliness, it was perfect. The pools were perfect, three different pools so it was never crowded. The loungers and Bali beds were of excess, there were a few people who would claim their spots before breakfast with their towels, but there was always plenty of space for everyone else. There would usually be a DJ playing music which was lovely - nothing too loud or partyish, just chill house mixes which I enjoyed. The only suggestion I had was making one of the pools an adults only pool, as there wasn’t a particular area for couples or adults to sit without children running around. The location is good, about a 18 minute drive to palma central. The area near the hotel is more of a German party strip, which was a bit annoying at times, though you could never hear them from the hotel as it sat at the top of the road, it was more an issue when leaving the hotel and driving to the hotels car park as you have to cut through the strip when everyone is walking all over the road. I recommend going for drinks at the rooftop bar, they sometimes have a dj, and the sunset views are immaculate! The food was lovely, we opted for bed and breakfast as we wanted to try some of the local spots around Palma. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and they changed it up everyday which was nice. The pool bar also has good selection of drinks and iced coffees. I would definately come back to Aubamar for another visit! I think it’s excellent value and the location allows you to explore different areas of the island!"

"⭐☆☆☆☆ 1/5 – A very disappointing stay that fell well short of a 5-star experience We stayed at Aubamar Suites & Spa in July 2026 as a family of three on a Jet2 package holiday, expecting a relaxing 5-star break. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had. To be fair, some members of staff genuinely tried to help. Luigi and Adriano were polite, apologetic and did what they could within the limits of the situation. The hotel also offered goodwill gestures including an à la carte meal, drinks and a spa treatment, which we appreciated. However, these gestures could not make up for the number and seriousness of the problems we experienced. The biggest issue was that many of the hotel’s core services repeatedly failed during our stay. We experienced multiple electricity outages, periods with no water supply, loss of air conditioning, loss of Wi-Fi following the power cuts, loud generators running around the pool, and our room eventually developed a strong sewage smell. These were not isolated incidents but ongoing problems throughout the holiday. The restaurant experience was equally poor. Food frequently wasn’t replenished despite arriving well within advertised serving times. Breakfast items had run out long before breakfast ended, and the same happened at dinner. Meals were often lukewarm or overcooked, and service was extremely slow. On one occasion our pool bar lunch order was forgotten twice, while our drinks never arrived at all despite repeated requests. As parents, we were particularly concerned that allergen information was not proactively provided. Our daughter ordered a chocolate ice cream but was instead served strawberry despite having a mild strawberry allergy. Thankfully the mistake was spotted before it became more serious. Communication throughout the stay was poor. We were repeatedly told problems would be resolved “soon”, yet many continued for days. After a major utility failure there was little proactive information given to guests, and even basic contingency arrangements felt lacking. Our departure day summed up the experience. Despite requesting a late check-out around 24 hours in advance because our transfer wasn’t until 7pm, we were refused and told there were no courtesy rooms available, leaving us without access to a room for much of the day. We were offered to shower in the spa but for a 5* hotel I find this highly unusual! The hotel also asked us not to post negative reviews online and instead discuss issues directly with management. We did exactly that throughout our stay. We spoke to management on numerous occasions, gave the hotel every opportunity to resolve matters and accepted their goodwill gestures in good faith. Unfortunately, the underlying problems remained. This review isn’t based on one bad meal or a single inconvenience. It’s based on repeated failures affecting the essentials of what you expect from a hotel marketed as 5-star: electricity, water, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, food service and communication. I sincerely hope the infrastructure issues have now been resolved because the hotel itself has potential and many staff members were trying their best. However, based on our experience, I could not recommend staying here, and I certainly do not believe it currently delivers the standard expected of a 5-star property. Our stay was advertised as being 5km outside of Palma it’s more like 12km around 26-28 euros in a taxi one way. The area playa de Palma is vile why they’ve invested in this property the way they have beggars belief there are zero decent bars or restaurants within walking distance or even a cheap cab fayre away. Don’t be fooled by Palma advertising. It’s not in Palma city or Marina and it’s certainly not a family friendly resort given every shop front is dripping in offensive sexualised content."
