"Avoid if you have children.
Staff are rude, obnoxious and say no to absolutely everything.
Firstly we arrived with 4 cases a pushchair and our baby and the receptionist told us room 101 so we went up in the lifts which only fit about 2 people in so we had to do a few lifts up and got all the way to the room with everything we had an the key are didn’t work, the maid let us in but we noticed the room was already occupied so I said this is not our room. My partner then had to run downstairs whilst I stayed with our cases and baby and pushchair and the receptionist said ah sorry I gave you the wrong room it’s 001 but didn’t offer us any help with our bags to get them back downstairs and to another room. And the fact they just let us in to the room when it wasn’t even our room?!
On our first day we had a small little rubber ring for our 1 year old baby for in the swimming pool, we got told no inflatables aloud even though he is just a baby and it’s for safety, we said ok. Meanwhile there was families playing for balls etc in the pool so we went and bought our baby a swimming vest, a ball and some toys to play with by the room on the evening.
The next day we gave our little bay his ball to hold in the water (baring in mind we can barely throw the ball an inch) we then got told no balls games allowed in the pool, I asked as there was a family yesterday playing with a ball but we were told this family have been very rude and refusing to follow the rules (I know wtf basically calling other families and customers to us) so we listened put his ball away.
Later that afternoon this same family were in the pool and continued to play with their ball (which I really don’t care about I want the kids to have a lush holiday) it was more the principle of telling a 1 year old baby he can’t hold a ball but letting another family who are dismissive of the rules just do what they want so I proceeded to reception and clearly expressed my concerns and they basically just blamed the other family for being rude dismissive and an inconvenience to them and that these are rules from the management and whilst many families have complained the management quite frankly don’t care 🤣 I told them that they should make this hotel an adults only hotel as these rules are crazy when children and families just want to have a fun time in the pool.
The following day we were staying in 001 which is ground floor right next to the bar with open access to the pool from our balcony, I brought a sun lounger up on to the balcony which would just be for an hour or so whilst my baby napped inside and this rude obnoxious women stormed over mid eating her lunch and say no no no you can not do that I explained that it just was whilst my baby napped so I didn’t have to leave him and she was so rude and said no put it back baring in mind there was 50 other free sunloungers and it was just up 2-3 steps from its original place, I’m just in disbelief how rude and awful she spoke to me when it could have been said much nicer and more polite.
The rooms are spacious and lovely and the only thing they’re missing is a long length mirror and better aircon.
The apartments are still unfinished and half the ceiling fell down in the lobby area which looks a bit of a mess. They occasional has a singer on around the pool but just for Instagram and publicity purposes I believe. It’s such a shame cos it’s a gorgeous location and has so much potential it’s just overall got horrifically poor management and are basically the NO police and tell you what you can and cannot do on your holidays honestly save your money and stay at once of the globales, sol, zafiro hotels they’re great Iv been here for the past 5-6 years every day and this is the worst place we’ve stayed.
Honestly we’re never ones to complain but I’m just so disappointed and sad at our experience and don’t want other families feeling the same hope this helps 🫶"
