Globales Santa Lucia Hotel

"This was our first time at this hotel and it has to be said that we were a little sceptical due to the mixed reviews, the towel queues being the biggest concern! We played safe and paid the extra for a superior room which gave us access to the infinity pool on the roof. In fact our room (no 822) on the 8th floor was next door to the access door to the roof. The first week (17th - 24th October) was great, access to the roof was fantastic with views that we've never experience before in a hotel. The food was decent albeit a little cool and very repetitive (there must have been a deal on cheap pork!), that said we're not fussy eaters and always found something to eat so no real complaints. Unfortunately the second week was very dissapointing as it was the last week before the hotel closed down for the winter and the facilities which we paid for were gradually taken away during the course of the week. The lifeguard's last day at the roof pool was on the Tuesday (we were there until Friday 31st!) so there was no safety cover after that, not too much of a problem as the maintenance man was taking sunbeds away on the Wednesday morning which made us feel like we were in the way (to be fair he was only doing his job). All the umbrellas were laid flat which provided some lovely trip hazards too! We woke up on Thursday to find that the infinity pool was closed. We complained to the guy on reception but were given the excuse that the weather was unsettled, it was glorious and we'e got photos and video to prove it! There was no entertainment after the Sunday night, when we complained to the Tui rep, we were told that there is still bingo and a quiz!! Our daugher is a teacher and she flew out on Saturday 25th for a week (half term) which cost a fortune so she had an even worse experience that us. I am really dissapointed to write this as the hotel is in a prime spot, has the best views from every room and if you can stretch to a superior room, the roof top pool is brilliant. Be aware that the superior rooms are exactly the same as all other rooms, they are all quite small but that didn't bother us. This hotel, with better management, could be one of the best in Mallorca but I'm afraid it falls short and we will not be staying here again. We should have been told that they shut down early, we are taking matters further with Tui."

"Been going to Santa Lucia for 15 years twice a year with friends.always spend a lot on bingo this year .we lost 240 euros because violeta.who kept making mistakes.passed the no we wanted .didn’t call no but passed it.when we noticed this another no up and called.everyone around us didn’t know the no had gone.met her boss and he didn’t want to know even though.everyone around us told him what happened.hope you can sort this out with nacho Robles Gonzales.her boss"

"Lovely hotel, fantastic location. Staff are friendly and the hotel is very clean! Food choice is good, something for everyone and I really like the grill cooking fresh meat at dinner an tea and the eggs in the morning. Sun bed situation isn’t as bad as people make out. If you want a bed by the pool then come out at 8 when the doors open, if you aren’t bothered to be on the deck then come out whenever, there is always a bed. People might complain about going down at 8 but I think perfectly fine, much better than letting people reserve the beds at 5am. We went out for a walk/cocktails most nights as you are in perfect location but the nights we stayed in the entertainment was good. Been to this hotel multiple times and will be back again. You wont find a better location with lovely views from every room."
