"Ok, I know this hotel has been reviewed to death, but I will add my own. Suffice to say, most of the staff are nice and pleasant, and the cleanliness if very good.
After suffering the massive EES queues at the airport, we arrived from the airport after a 25-minute drive, and were checked in quickly, for 10 a nights stay.
We were asked for money for the local tourist tax and the room safe hire, and we were now about £110 pounds lighter than we were. We were given a safe key, a blue wristband to show that we were on half board and 2 electronic door key cards.
We were allocated a room on the 4th floor, at the far end of the hotel with beautiful panoramic views of the beach and the bay.
The room was a decent size, not enough hangers but the maid gave us more. Adequate electrical sockets for charges etc. Not enough storage for us but we coped ok. We had two comfortable single beds pushed together, which gave us some good night’s sleep.
The air conditioning was good enough to keep us cool, we left one of the door keys in so that the room was cool when we returned, didn’t see any rules to say we shouldn’t do this.
The hotel leaves 2 small bottles of water for you, but these are not replaced, however the coffee, tea and milk are replaced when needed, and the kettle was very quick to boil, there is a Spar across the road to get more milk and water.
Our only complaint about the room was that you have to climb into the bath to have a shower, it obviously needs ripping out and a walk-in shower installed before someone breaks their neck, the average age in this hotel is about 65 years old, so maybe not too sprightly.
Now the pool, as others have said, there is a queue, the doors to pool are unlocked at 8am, each morning we joined this queue at 7.40am and there would normally be about 20 to 30 people in front of us. We were ok with this, as we were then able to get beds exactly where we wanted. If you want to have lie in, you cannot expect to get the best locations for your sunbeds, its your choice. The sunbeds are quite new and have a thick mattress on them. While we were there the management put a tiny sign on the wall saying the ”Lifeguard” will remove towels if they are left for more than 2 hours (when he is not on his phone). Not once did this happen, one morning while the Aquarobics were being done in the pool, a man became quite ill and nearly drowned, thankfully 2 ladies saw what was happening and pulled him out of the pool, and still the ”Lifeguard” didn’t get off his chair. It took quite a while before the man was well enough to sit on a chair, he is now ok. The animation guy who does most of the daytime games and the Bingo is in the right job. He is always bubbly and smiling, but he does get quite shouty.
Food, again I can only echo what others have said, you give your room number in when entering the restaurant. It’s ok to wear what you want at breakfast but at the evening meal it’s smart casual. Some plates are warm, and some food is warm but never hot, I used the only microwave that worked, the other made a noise and the table turned but did not heat the food. Breakfast is very good, the evening meal is not so, there’s good food but some of it isn’t cooked correctly. Also, Mr. Management if you read this review, please have a walk around your restaurant and look for yourself at all the food without labels, we don’t know what we are eating so stick to what we know or what is correctly labelled.
In the evening there is nightly Bingo, which was 12 euros for the 6 books for 1 game of line and full house, winning 35 euros and 320 euros, and then from 10pm, there is normally some kind of tribute show, watchable but not too great.
As I have said we were on half board, so whenever we went to the bar for a drink we were very quickly served with whatever we wanted, however, if anyone with an all inclusive wristband came to the bar for a drink, they were shooed away to the bar around the side to join a queue of others, where they could only order 2 small drinks.
Would we come back to this hotel, in a heartbeat, we had a great time, and there was plenty to see and do in the areas around the hotel."
