Fergus Club Palmanova Park

"Family of 4 •Transfer from airport was less than 1hr and we were the last drop off ROOMS •2nd floor pool view room, spacious and clean (a few ants around but nothing major) •hotel has 4 entrances to the courtyard where the pools are located we never had to use the lift our whole stay •showers have good water pressure even at peak times, hot and cold water •you can hear a little through the walls but not too much (I believe this is more of a how rude are your neighbours are) •staff are all polite, some quieter than others but they do very long shifts POOLS •Pool areas are cleaned well in the morning •Bar staff collect rubbish and cups throughout the day, there are plenty of bins and cleaning stations around for you to put away your on cups and plates •Lifeguards are decent, I didn’t witness any being too strict, most of the time it was pre-teens in the splash pool being told off (pool is 45cm deep and where the younger kids and babies played) •11 year old loved the slides, still slightly deep for the 7 year old on his own but adults are allowed to stand at the bottom of the slide, he loved the splash pool though •No inflatables unless for younger children as a swim aid (think this is common throughout Spain now) •Sunbed wars isn’t bad though it is October, people do start at 7am we never had a problem getting a bed but preferred to be round at the splash pool and slides •More sun and space around at the splash pool and slides, some parts of the main pool area is quite shaded by trees and the building itself plus a tight squeeze to get past all the sun beds. ALL INCLUSIVE •breakfast daily are pancakes, churros, fruits, salads, porridge, cereal, breads and the usual full English (nothing made to order like omelettes) • lots of variety at lunch and dinner if you aren’t fussy (fish, prawns, pork, chicken, pasta) pork and fish are the most common meats in my opinion on offer we did hear quite a few people complain about what was on offer but we always found something •pizza/pasta and chips every night •Mexican, Italian, sweet, Asian, Arabian, Mediterranean are what I remember of the themed nights •snack bar is located between both pools and has self service beer and soft drinks, foods are chips, burgers, pastries, salad, hot dogs and other bits that alternate daily •Irish bar is good, played pool a few times (only pool table in the hotel) •self service beer, soft drinks, water and coffee machine • queue for slushies, cocktail and ice creams ENTERTAINMENT •entertainment was better some nights than others •listened/watched from balcony usually •finished between 10.30/11pm •we didn’t do kids clubs so can’t comment •overall friendly hotel and guests were all chatty, a mixture between families and older couples in seemed. We spoke to families from all over the UK and Ireland plus quite a few Dutch too. LOCATION •around 10 mins to beach front of palma nova (fastest route in downhill through some housing streets) •a few shops around including Lidl (5 min walk) •a few restaurants too •McDonald’s 15 minute walk along the beach front for the fussy eaters ( we did venture here multiple times in the week for my daughter so she was eating at least 2 meals a day) •palma nova beach is beautiful day or night EXCURSIONS ***McDonalds has vouchers of €5 off per person to both MARINELAND AND WESTERN WATER PARK*** WESTERN WATERPARK 5* •barely a queue so we got lucky •kids loved it •adults loved it •€6 per sunbed •€8 locker •take in your own snacks and drinks •family of 4 online was €112 euro which we paid as we found this to be the cheapest for us MARINELAND 3* •there for opening and home for 1.30pm •kids enjoyed it •not much to see that we don’t see at home except the dolphin and sea lion show which are impressive •snacks very expensive €32 for 2 slush, 1orange juice and 2 Pringles * €74 euro family of 4 with the McDonald’s vouchers GOLF FANTASIA 3* •€54 euro for a family of 4 for 18 holes •didn’t take to long to go around, a lot of money for a short space of time (1hr or so) Would we return: yes"
