"I write this waiting for the return coach after staying 6 nights here. We have mixed feelings on the hotel but certainly wouldn’t be on our list of hotels we want to return to. Having visited Palma Nova for the past 3 years we knew the location was going to be good and was excited about the refurb. ROOM: We stayed in room I1 which is at the back of the hotel up a ramp and stairs. The ground floor room we was told was an “upgrade” (I struggle to see how). The room faces a muddy hill and main road above. The room itself was nicely renovated and when arriving was cleaned to a good standard however that’s where the positive comments on the cleaning of the room start and end. In our 6 nights the bedding was changed once and the floor cleaned twice. No other cleaning took place during our stay. There are no pool towels available to hire but told to use the normal towels and ask at reception. Twice we went to reception and there were none available. Then the LEAK! The bathroom roof was leaking which we reported to reception twice on day 1 but told it was the extractor fan and someone would look at it. No change so spoke to reception again on day 2 explaining that it’s dripping constantly and not acceptable. At 4pm on day 2 we was offered the room next door (equally a dungeon) so declined as quite frankly we didn’t want to move all of our belongings for the room next door. The “terrace” wasn’t cleaned or sweeped once and I am unsure if the second floor clean actually happened or just if the funny smell in the room had changed slightly. Think everyone upstairs fag ash landing there all week. POOL: lovely pool, always sunloungers available I doubt this would be the case in peak season. STAFF: The entertainment team were lovely and tried their best to give the kids something to do with the limited equipment they have including darts that don’t stick and a ripped shuffleboard mat. Not their fault they really did make a fuss of the kids. Reception staff now that is something else. I was told when expressing the leak that “you know when you have renovations at home what it’s like” YES BUT I HAVE PAID FOR A HOLIDAY NOT A LEAKY DUNGEON. Attitudes are just off like everything is a hassle. I have just asked when checking out where the location is for the coach pick up and told “normally it’s over the road but they go everywhere they want” - ahh thanks really helpful. FOOD: we was half board, absolutely fine no complaints. The dining area is nice and well maintained. Only one to add is maybe a live cooking station but I don’t think there is enough uptake as lots of people seem to be self catering. FAMILY: Now this is my biggest issue. Noise! From 11pm / 4am there is so much noise! Singing in the hallways, moving furniture around just generally being VERY loud and trust me you can hear EVERYTHING! This hotel is an overspill for Magaluf groups of hens, stags etc. Not one single night did we get a full nights sleep. Again not a problem but it is advertised and marketed as a family hotel and it was far from it. There are pleanty of really nice, family friendly hotels locally with staff who make you feel like you’re on holiday. The rooms have been improved but next on the list needs to be staff training to show that a good room doesn’t make a 4 star hotel. LOTS NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED ON. Noisy, no room cleaning, bad attitudes and not for us. ohhh and the place smells of stale urine!"

"We have just returned from a week at this aparthotel. I was a little nervous as we had only seen artist impressions of the refurb but when we got there we were so pleasantly surprised. I have looked at the photos of the hotel previous to the reno and it is an incredible transformation. We booked a package through Jet2. We arrived late in the evening and the staff were immediately welcoming and friendly. The small hotel shop is open 24/7 and had drinks and snacks available for weary travellers. The hotel was spotless ✨ We had apartment 201. The apartment was so stylish, beautifully decorated, air-conditioned and had everything we needed. There is a lift or stairs to the room. I saw previously that this hotel was not suitable for those with mobility issues due to the number of stairs. However, I would be inclined to disagree with this as there are ramps, a lift, automatic doors and smooth surfaces everywhere. The apartment had a balcony that overlooked the pool. The kitchen was well equipped with a fridge/freezer, 2-ring hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and basic cooking equipment. The bathroom had a big, powerful shower with a fixed head and a movable head and a good range of temperatures. The toilet was within the bathroom but had a door for privacy. The hairdryer is powerful 🙌🏻. There is a nice hand gel, shower gel and shampoo. The bedroom has a free safe. The maids did a great job of keeping the room clean and the towels and bedding fresh. The hotel is in a good location in the middle of Palmanova, about a street or 2 back from the main street which meant night time wasn’t noisy and sleep was not an issue. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach, supermarket, the shops and lots of great restaurants and bars. The whole hotel and pool area were always so clean. Communal toilets and showers were all clean. We didn’t eat any main meals at the hotel so I can’t comment on the food in the restaurant. However, we did eat at the pool bar once or twice and we can’t complain about the food. We just had a basic toasted chicken sandwich and fries but had heard from other guests that the salads and other food were lovely. Never had an issue getting a sunbed, no need to reserve at any time of the day. Also didn’t see people getting up at stupid o’clock to reserve sunbeds. Inflatables were allowed in the pool. There were 2 female entertainers around the pool keeping the kids busy with things like aqua bingo, shuffleboard, bowls, water polo etc.. but not at all annoying. 👯🏻‍♀️ If you said no to joining in then they accepted and left you alone. Very relaxed atmosphere. I can’t comment on the evening entertainment as we weren’t in the hotel in the evenings. We are a family of 4 that stayed but there were a range of groups of people and nationalities enjoying girls/lads/couples holidays, hen weekends etc… We never had an issue with anyone. Everyone was very respectful of each other and it was a very pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I am happy to answer honestly any questions that travellers may have."

"We have just stayed for 4 nights, family of 4 in a 1 bed apartment. The Hotel has just been refurbished and looks lovely everywhere. rooms are very modern and found the beds comfy but very noisy when you move in them and you can hear the beds moving in the rooms above you. The Downsides was that there was no lift to rooms which wasnt good for taking the suitcases. we arrived so late and we must have woken up everyone in our block but couldnt help it dragging all the cases up the stairs which are literally right out side the rooms. Our room had a very funny smell to it, couldnt really describe it but it wasnt nice, think we ended up just getting used to it! The pool was great and plenty of sunbeds. not enough umbrellas though! The staff were all amazing. We booked room only so cant comment on the food, although did have snacks at the poolside bar and they were all nice. Location is excellent. We would stay again but id get a 2 bed next time as did feel it was a bit cramped with 2 kids on the sofa bed. There are still works ongoing but it never affected our stay. Happy with the price we paid"
