Sotavento Club Apartments

"Stayed at this hotel for 1 week self catering. The hotel is up a steep hill if your not physically fit may struggle to walk up it on a daily basis! Check in was ok , had to sign a lot of times on various forms, write address down etc , read rules, pay tourist tax, money for safe & €80 deposit for the week. It was a little annoying the amount of things we had to sign. We was aware of the deposit and tourist tax before we arrived. The safe didn’t work at first but was sorted out promptly. All staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel reception area was spotlesly clean & looks great. The pool area was very clean & well kept. Music playing round the pool was good. The room we had was on the top floor- small lift to all floors. The apartment was a bit of a let down if i’m honest. I realise there are different standards of rooms & ours must have been one of the basic ones! I didn’t have a choice on jet2 website to book a different room. We didn’t bother asking about an upgrade as the room was only to sleep in at the end of the day. The room was very tired looking, marks on floor, holes in bedsheets, marks on walls, cushions & doors just general wear & tear. The bowls that were provided in the kitchen weren’t bowls they were more just like a plate. The cups were little tea cups, we ended up going out & buying our own cups! The pans were useless- one frying pan & two other huge pans. Only 2/3 of the electric hob worked. Could of done with s smaller saucepan or something. A tea towel would have also been useful. The cleaning kit provided was better than nothing though! There was a dirty tissue on the floor under the table in the bedroom when we arrived which stayed there all week & the headboard looked tatty & worn. The cupboard space in the kitchen wasnt great - there wasn’t anywhere to store food. In the bedroom the plug socket could of done with being nearer the mirror & also could of done with a do not disturb sign for the door, although we were never in when the maids came. On a plus note the bed was comfortable & the shower was amazing & water always hot & we got sun on the balcony in the afternoon. I don’t regret staying at sotavento but i probably wouldn’t stop here again when visiting magaluf because of its location up the hill & the room facilities."

"My friend and I was at the sotavento club apartments on 21 April 2026 until the 1st May. My review on sotavento is very clean rooms very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and polite as well as pleasant, the staff couldn't do enough for you. The food was very good and valued for money One member of your staff was polite helpful and very pleasant. The person's name is alba. All in all I would give the sotavento and staff 8 out of 10 Anthea Simpson and Agnes Condie"

"Apartments were lovely and clean , very spacious, has everything you need Pool area spotless and music during day Honestly don't have any complaints Walking distance to everything , staff were very friendly"
