"We holiday abroad multiple times per year as a family and this is one of the best family-friendly hotels we've stayed at!
Yes, as others have stated, the rooms aren't huge and the storage isn't the best, but we knew this from reading reviews and packed an over-the-door hanging shoe storage, which we put a lot of clothes in, and hung on the outside of the wardrobe door. There is a long, narrow shelf above the bed which can be used as storage (we placed hair brushes our daughters nightlight etc).
We booked a superior room (x2) which both had 2 adults and 1 child in (and were next door to each other), two quite big single beds and a pull out sofa bed (we stuffed cushions down the side to stop our toddler falling down the gap between the mattress and arm of the sofa-bed) which had a balcony with seats and a table and a hanging space to dry clothes.
The kids club staff were absolutely fantastic, one of the women needs to have her own tv show, because she is the best child's entertainer I've ever seen!
The cleaners are amazing - the hotel, rooms, dining area and outside areas are immaculate. Our room was cleaned so well, every single day - the sink, toilet and shower cleaned, floors mopped, beds remade and all sand cleared daily.
Food wise, we had absolutely no complaints! Our 7 year old is very fussy, and often struggles to eat when abroad, but here she happily and easily ate at every meal time - she had chips, plain pasta, chicken nuggets, fish fingers, ice cream, beans, sausages etc. The daytime, self-serve snack bar was a god send, as she'd often snack on chips or bread and ice cream in-between meals. As for us adults, we found something different to eat every single evening as they have a different themed menu every day, alongside the same everyday items like salad, chips, pasta etc.
One of the chefs in the show cooking area (unfortunately we didn't get his name) was incredible and cooked some of the best tasting meat I've ever had at an all inclusive hotel.
The evening entertainment was different every night and was really good - kids did I starts at 8:30 every evening, which my children loved. The foam party was amazing and both my 7 and 2 year olds enjoyed themselves, whereas my parents chose to sit towards the back, away from the foam, and had the space/chair availability to do so.
Sunbed wise, there were always sun beds available, just not close to the pool, as annoyingly people queue up very early in the morning and set up their towels but don't arrive until the afternoon (if at all!) and unfortunately nothing is done about this. But there is a section nearest to the bigger pool, that doesn't open until the pool opens at 10am, so those sun beds aren't reserved until 10, which gives you a slight chance of getting one close. They reserve some sun beds for disabled people, which is great and meant disabled people had close access to the pool and pool bar and the lifeguard mans these well, to ensure they're being used only by disabled people and their family.
The daytime kids club had varied activities and are split into 3 age groups - the baby club was in the small pool, which my 2 year old loved. My 7 year old went to the kids club a few times and thoroughly enjoyed herself and said the staff were great fun.
The drinks tokens don't cause any issues - if anything they stop adults getting too drunk too quickly, so is a positive in my eyes!
The lifeguards are very vigilant and kept an eye on the safety of everyone in the water, better than anywhere else I've been.
There are two pools, a smaller, shallow pool and then a big deeper pool, both were lovely and warm and never felt too crowded - twice during our stay someone was sick in the big pool, meaning it was closed for the rest of the day, which was annoying but understandable as otherwise I'm sure they'd have had complaints if anyone would have caught a sickness bug!
The soft drinks (and alcohol during lunch and dinner) are self serve, which was great and there was always ice available too. The queues for alcohol, even on the evenings when they were quite long, went down very quickly, as the bar staff were very efficient.
The aircon was incredible, not too cold, but cold enough to stop the 'feels like 40°c' temperatures from heating the rooms. And the sliding door kept out most of the noise from the entertainment area that our balcony overlooked, so we never had an issue getting our toddler to sleep, even when some of the guests outside were ridiculously noisy at 11:30pm.
The hotel is about a 6 minute walk from the beach, which was great, and there are quite a few shops nearby - including an Aldi, which was great for us when we ran out of nappies!
The superior room also had a fridge, which was great for keeping milk for our toddler, and is something most hotels don't have.
The crazy golf and laser challenge pass can be bought for €15 pp for unlimited access for your whole stay, which we paid for and used quite often, especially as golf stays open until 9:45 (9pm last entry) so it was much cooler.
The other parts of the amusement park are free to use - The upside down house was great, lots of different rooms and both my daughters loved it, as did the adults! We went in at least 3 times during our week stay (again it stays open to hotel guests until 9:45, 9pm being the last entry).
The Softplay was great, though we only went twice as my two year old was only allowed in the baby area and was upset that she couldn't join her big sister in the bigger area (though I understand the safety reasons for this rule). You must have socks to go into the Softplay, so make sure to bring some, though they do sell socks if you don't have any.
The amusements were good - the 4D cinema was a favourite of my toddlers and the cowboy shooting ride was my 7 year olds favourite - the queues were often 15-30mins long and these all close at 6pm, for all guests (whether hotel or outside).
The water park is good, it has about 5 or 6 different slides and a bucket waterfall that the kids all loved - we only went once though, as my girls enjoyed swimming in the pool more.
They often have a water carpet in the main pool, for guests to race across (which again, is organised and ran in a very safe way) my 2 year old absolutely loved it and ran across is 3 different times, while being kept safe by the staff who are both in and out of the pool, and a staff member situated at the end of each 'carpet'.
Every day they set up and invite guests to play water polo, which lots seemed to get involved in and enjoy (though I can't really comment on it, as we didn't participate).
The only negative to this hotel is the other guests - so many parents allowed their children to roam around unsupervised (in the waterpark, pool areas, corridors, entertainment areas and communal areas) meaning many nights I had to ask children to stop running up and down the corridors screaming/shouting, after 10pm. Also, almost every night, unsupervised children were playing football (and usually kicking the ball as hard as they possibly could) in the entertainment area (often using the photo prop as a goal net) causing quite a few young children and a few adults to get hit in the face or body with a football. One time I saw a member of staff come outside to tell the children to play football in the football arena, but the following night (and every night before and after) the big group of 8-14 year olds were back, kicking their footballs as hard as they possibly could - maybe they could have a football court or something nearby for children to play in at night.
There were a few incidents where security was called to intervene (once in the pool due to an unsupervised child purposely hurting other children) and a few times in the corridors/guest rooms or entertainment area, due to some guests fighting/being overly noisy late at night - security dealt with these issues quickly and efficiently, so everyone felt safe.
The upsidedown house wouldn't allow children inside, without adult supervision, which was great and meant we didn't have to worry about anyone ruining the experience for others.
Plug socket wise, there were only two that we could see - one next to one side of the master bed and another under the foldaway table (so unusable when the sofa bed is set up) so bring an extension lead to use next to the bed.
All in all, I'd definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family, I just wish all parents actually supervised their children, so everyone could have a relaxing holiday, rather than having parts of it ruined by unruly, rude children and their uncaring parents."
