Sol House Mallorca

"We have booked to stay at this hotel in october! (Booked in advance 6 months ago) with the understanding its for adults only as we have 3 kids and needed the break away peacefully, no disrespect to children or parents. And today 9 days before our stay we have had an email explaining that the hotel cannot honour our stay any more with no explanation as to why! They have offered a new hotel in our opinion not a fair trade or upgrade as expected.. (not adults only+ different food menus, not to our liking so very inconvenient.. or a full hotel refund. But as we booked a full flight and hotel package this isnt an option for us as they only offer a hotel refund not flights. AVOID this hotel as its very unpredictable what may happen dispite any reviews saying other wise, we have tried to contact the hotel via email and phone call with no response, we used on the beach to book and they cant help us either as very slow replies and not very cooperative."

"Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and not at all what we expected from a holiday in Magaluf. When we arrived, the condition of our room was one of the first things that stood out. There were punch holes in the walls and the room did not feel particularly clean or well maintained. It was disappointing to arrive on holiday and be faced with a room that looked like it needed some serious attention. The biggest issue for us, however, was the noise disturbance throughout the evenings and into the early hours. We barely slept for the duration of our stay. We were woken on several occasions by people banging on our door, screaming and shouting down the corridors, and generally making an incredible amount of noise. Unfortunately, it wasn’t just the occasional disturbance — it was frequent enough to have a significant impact on our stay. I was 20 weeks pregnant at the time, so getting enough rest was particularly important to me. The lack of sleep and constant disruption genuinely had a huge impact on my enjoyment of the holiday and ultimately ruined what should have been a relaxing break. We completely understand that Magaluf is known for its nightlife and that some level of noise is to be expected, but the level of disturbance we experienced went far beyond what we would consider reasonable hotel noise. We also feel the hotel could have done more to manage the behaviour of guests and ensure other guests were able to sleep. Sadly, based on our experience, we would not choose to stay at this hotel again and would struggle to recommend it to others, particularly anyone looking for a relaxing holiday or travelling with children or during pregnancy."
