"We have just returned from a week’s stay at this lovely hotel and would highly recommend it. We travelled as a family of 4, with my 86 year old mum. We travelled on an AI basis.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by lovely, professional and friendly Reception team who clearly explained about hiring of pool towels and in-room safes and stored our luggage until our rooms were ready, as we arrived mid-morning.
The hotel itself is exceptionally clean and modern, having been refurbished recently and our rooms were spacious and well equipped, with lovely walk-in showers, in-room safe (free) and fridge. There is a kettle and mugs but no tea & coffee provided but there is a very well-stocked supermarket at the corner of the street. There is also a water container and free chilled water on each floor.
The dining room is airy with well-spaced tables and the sports teams / children that use the hotel have their own tables reserved away from the main area. There are numerous coffee/juice stations for breakfast. The variety of the food each day was plentiful and not repetitive, with freshly cooked omelettes and eggs in the morning and meat and fish at lunch and dinner. The standard and quality of the food was exceptional. Special mention to Josy on the show cooking area.
We used the main pool area and did not have to get down early to reserve beds. There were some towels on beds from quite early but we never struggled to find beds and the hotel does operate a no-reserve policy if beds are left unattended for long periods. The pool is on the small side but we honestly never struggled and had plenty of space between beds. The pool is overseen by a lifeguard who was vigilant at all times and handled the visiting sports teams well, if they became energetic. There is a pool bar and drinks can be served to your sunbeds. The staff did come round to clear up at least 2 or 3 times during the afternoon and the area was always spotlessly clean.
There was entertainment every evening, which was very good, mainly at the Pool Bar but a couple of times on the Rooftop bar.
The resort itself is lovely. The hotel is on a rocky beach but has a decked platform with sun loungers (for a daily / weekly fee) and steps into the sea, which was so clear. There is a lovely promenade along the beach front that stretches a long way in both directions and you can walk to 2 lovely sandy beaches quite easily. We also took the little train to Platja des Port beach which is completely accessible with wheelchairs, rollators and crutches to enable people to enjoy the beach and sea. This again was lovely and clean and backed by a pedestrianised promenade filled with restaurants.
About 10 minute walk from the hotel is the main high street (Avenida Primavera) which has bars, restaurants, shops and an evening market on a Wednesday.
The highlight of this hotel though is the rooftop bar. The views are stunning. Although we were AI, some drinks were chargeable but the prices were nominal (€2.50 for a Baileys) and well worth it for the amazing sunsets. The AI drinks list is extensive though and very good quality.
Finally, the staff at this hotel were brilliant. Always friendly, smiling and helpful. Would like to specially mention Chaymae on the rooftop bar who was so friendly and Enrique in the restaurant who appreciated our attempts at Spanish but every member of staff deserves praise and we loved that the Manageress of the hotel was visible every day interacting with the staff and guests.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return."
