"Just returned from 10 wonderful days at this hotel, staying on a half-board basis, and overall we had a fantastic experience.
In my opinion, the hotel absolutely deserves its five-star rating within its price bracket. The service throughout our stay was professional and attentive, from reception and the restaurant team to the pool area.
A special mention must go to the lifeguard, who manages the pool area with great precision. There are no lilos or inflatables in the pool, no diving and no sitting on the edge of the pool drinking. While some may find these rules restrictive, they really contribute to the calm, sophisticated, spa-like atmosphere of the hotel.
The indoor spa was a welcome escape from the midday sun, and the plunge pool was wonderfully invigorating. Our 13-year-old particularly enjoyed the spa facilities, with children permitted to use the area until 3pm.
I also had an amazing massage with Elizabeth. The treatment rooms were spacious, peaceful and tranquil, and noticeably larger than many other spa facilities I have visited.
The food was exceptional. Dinner was served from a set menu each evening, with daily specials, and the quality was consistently excellent. One small point is that the restaurant team could have explained the breakfast options more clearly when we arrived, as we didn’t realise for the first few days that there was also a breakfast menu available to order from. That said, the breakfast buffet itself was extensive and offered plenty of choice.
Cleanliness throughout the hotel was faultless. The pool area, bars and bedrooms were all immaculately maintained. The housekeeping team were always visible, smartly dressed and incredibly friendly.
Sustainability was also a key priority for the hotel, which encouraged guests to adopt a more eco-friendly approach during their stay. The natural shower products were a lovely touch, and the shower was consistently hot with excellent water pressure. Also a good tip is to take a water bottle with you as there are water filling stations around the hotel.
My only real criticism would be regarding the Bacora Restaurant. As guests paying for half board, I feel there should be some form of allowance or subsidised option to dine there, even if it were limited to once a week. Having already paid for half board, then being expected to pay the full price to eat at another restaurant within the same hotel felt a little disappointing.
The evening entertainment was also very enjoyable, with some great singers, and the evening seating areas are simply beautiful — the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink.
The location is another real plus. It’s well worth taking a walk into the port and visiting Es Trenc beach, both of which are easily accessible along the coastal boardwalk. It’s a tranquil area but we enjoyed the sunset market on Wednesday. We also enjoyed the calmness around the pool and no issue getting a sun bed at any time of the day.
We were lucky to meet two lovely families with children the same age as our daughter - which made our holiday a much different experience - in a good way. Without them we would have struggled to keep a 13 year old entertained but would have hired a car and explored.
The restaurant is in a fabulous position for watching the most incredible sunsets. Every night they took my breath away.
Overall, we had a wonderful 10-day stay and would happily return. A beautiful, exceptionally clean hotel with professional staff, fantastic food and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere."
