Thermal waters, wild landscapes

Fontsanta Hotel in southern Mallorca is an adults-only retreat where wellness feels effortless. Anchored by the island’s only natural thermal springs, this five-star hideaway blends clean-lined interiors with soulful landscapes – the salt flats of Es Salobrar, pine-fringed sands of Es Trenc, and gardens alive with native plants.

Days slip easily between yoga at sunrise, thermal soaks, and slow meals that celebrate the island’s produce. With no under-18s, a scattering of Jacuzzis in the gardens, and a private beach hut hidden in the dunes, Fontsanta is as much about stillness as it is about indulgence.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

Hotel highlights

Surrounded by nature reserves and just three kilometres from Es Trenc Beach, Fontsanta feels far removed from Mallorca’s bustle. Guests have access to Es Refugi, the hotel’s private stone hut by the sea, stocked with drinks and hammocks for languid afternoons. Back at the hotel, 120,000 square metres of native gardens shelter terraces, pools, and quiet corners designed for switching off. Step outside the gates and you’ll find flamingos on the salt flats, family-run wineries, and sleepy towns where time seems to pause.
Fontsanta’s restaurant elevates Mediterranean flavours with Mallorcan flair. Dishes feature flor de sal harvested nearby, whether dusted over lobster ravioli or steak with Cabrales cheese and rosemary. Breakfast is indulgent –  how do pancakes draped in melted dark chocolate sound? – and evenings linger over cocktails scented with herbs from the garden. With its arches, beams, and salt-marsh views, the dining room has all the rustic romance you’d expect, balanced by a playful approach to flavour.
The springs are the spa's signature: thermal waters that rise naturally from underground aquifers, rich with minerals and flowing at a perfect 38ºC. Here, centuries-old baths work in tandem with modern rituals – from salt-stone massages to thermal circuits through the vaporarium, sauna, and ice fountain. The benefits are more than skin-deep: circulation quickens, muscles soften, and calm takes over. Indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces extend the sense of sanctuary long after you leave the pool.

The thermal circuits ending in the ice fountain – a bracing high.
