"My hotel booking wasnt as it should be according to fortenellas ! But according to hotels.com everything was as it should be ! However i had to pay extra of €252 for our son for halfboard, which i already paid for when i made the reservation from home. I had to wait for tuesday before the booking dept. opened up again, due to the national day here in Spain, went to speak to the booking dept. who also was reluctant to make my refund due to my reservation! This is way over my paycheck the treatment i am getting from the fortenellas ! Disrespectful and thinking this is my problem and only my problem! We got room #404 which is nice with a balcony facing Can Pastilla ! the room had a bedroom with kitchenette, fridge, water cooker, coffee machine and toaster, the WIFI here is just so non existence here, the share point is really bad and i mean really bad ( just use your own network ) The hallway is quite noisy or the room isnt well isolated, kids running through the hallway or noises from the neighbors as well ! The restaurant is crowded most of the time also with alot of kids, and seriously there is alot of noises all over the place, pool area the same thing kids yelling, screaming and crying so do go to the beach where its more calm, and if i wanted alot noises and trafic i could just stayed home ! Why is it that guest uses their speaker on the phone while talking to others, and being disrespectful to other guest who just wants to be for themselves ? ( Use a headset instead ) Pool service is alright, although the cleaning part isnt so always so effective, or attentive. The halfboard here is okay for what it is, every day is pretty much the same thing, sausages bathing in water, bacon isnt well cooked, long queues everywhere, and parents leaving their kids to take things where it is unreachable and then accidents happens. Plates and glasses gets broken and parents dont really care about, where is the paerenthood here ? I dont know really ! But for sure is the staff should be more attentive and tell the parents “that kids shldnt be wondering off by themselves” Pool towels with a deposit of €20 pr. towel per person ( reception) towels to be picked up left side of the pool area ( with the life guard ) who mostly hates his job with his attitude. Night entertainment is mainly for the kids, didn’t interact with them team. Housekeeping is doing their always hard work here, and always have an respect for their hard work 💪 thank you. DJ by the pool later on the night is i guess alright, otheriwse there is alot of activity nearby as well, clubs, restaurants, and cafes both either directions. I would have rated this place a 3-4 plus, but with the service i got from the front desk upon check in its only. 2 star rating due to the service from reception and the booking dept. Lots of credit to the restaurant staff and kitchen staff as well 😌🙏 who bust their sweat and tears to make it happen. ( every single day ) To be honest i dont want to return to this fontenellas again. Mainly for the experience we have had here, and frankly it isnt the extra cost they charge me, it is the principle of it, that got me upset, and not even taken the effort to solve the issue thank you for nothing. Checking out the women ( with no name tag) didnt even look at the screen when i ask her for a late check out was possible ( with extra payment ) she promptly “said no” we are fully booked !! Where is the “guest services” ? This hotel is seriously NOT SERVICE ORIENTED” at all Spanish hospitality when its the best i guess ! Frankly the reception staff shld have name tags so guest can refer to the individual who actually provdes a good or bad service. We will not come to this hotel again for sure, thx to the staff here who have helped with that."

"Beautiful hotel, amazing location, staff were ok (not great, didn’t go out of their way), the rooms were lovely and clean. However, I unfortunately had my bad stolen at the pool on the second last day of the holiday. It made me realise anyone can walk into the pool area, you don’t have to be a guest at the hotel. One side of the pool has a gate that you have to access using your key, but the other side doesn’t. One member of staff (the lifeguard) was very helpful, he emptied all the towels out to check it hadn’t ended up in there, the other staff however were not. When I reported this missing to staff (at reception, as well as at the bar at the pool) no one seemed in any way bothered about helping, or even surprised that this had happened. I’ve stayed at this hotel 3 times now and always felt safe, however I couldn’t relax on my last day knowing this had happened."

"This hotel is lovely. I booked a stay this September as a returning customer because my family had had such a great stay last year in October. Unfortunately, our flights were cancelled at the last minute and we were unable to get to Mallorca for a further 2 days. Our stay was only for 4 nights, so basically there was no point in going...we would have enjoyed Mallorca for one day before having to return. I telephoned the hotel immediately and emailed them, with all information about the fact that the flights were cancelled and we had no way to get to Mallorca. The hotel have charged me for the entire stay as I was a 'no show'. I was prepared to pay a cancellation fee (not a small amount) because I appreciated that the hotel were losing out on custom. However, their decision was to charge me for the whole stay despite our inability to get to Mallorca was BEYOND our control! So my review is not about the hotel itself, but its cold-hearted customer service! And the fact that there was no lack of compromise with the office staff. Customers are not valued. We are just business...money was more important than a flexibility which would have encouraged me to return to this hotel the next time my family visit Mallorca. As we would most certainly have done. However, our custom was not of any value, except the money that we have paid for a stay we couldn't use."
