"I was already a guest at the Mar Azul PurEstil in 2018 and had the best memories of that stay. The warm hospitality and the friendliness of the staff, in particular, had convinced me. That is why I chose this hotel again in 2026. The disappointment was all the greater because of how much my impression has changed. The way we were treated in several situations was disrespectful and condescending. The head waiter in the restaurant, in particular, treated us in an unfriendly manner repeatedly. When we wanted to sit at a free, not yet set table on the terrace, he made fun of our choice of table with a derogatory remark. We were addressed so loudly that other guests turned around to look at us. We felt exposed and anything but welcome. Another incident occurred at the reception. My fellow traveler had a heavily bleeding wound on his hand, which is why we asked for a bandage. The employee initially reacted by rolling his eyes. When I addressed him about it, he insolently declared that it was not his problem and that we could leave the hotel if we were not satisfied with the service. Such a reaction to a simple request for help is completely unacceptable to me. The staff at the pool bar were consistently friendly, but obviously understaffed. At times, we waited around 20 minutes for a drink at lunch and dinner. The food also no longer reached the quality I remembered from 2018. Furthermore, several heavily soiled and sticky serving tongs at the buffet were particularly unpleasant. In my view, the rooms are also in urgent need of modernization. They are cramped and dark, the sink is located outside the bathroom, and the balcony is very small. With a standard room, you also have to expect an unappealing view of the backyard between the hotel and the neighboring hotel. In 2018, I could overlook these shortcomings due to the excellent service – in 2026, no longer. Particularly disappointing is the handling of criticism: After our return, I wrote a detailed email to the hotel manager, described the incidents, and explicitly requested a statement. After no response came, I followed up again and additionally submitted a complaint via the hotel website's complaint management system. Even after several weeks, there was no response at all. This hotel has apparently forgotten what hospitality means – and that the guests are ultimately the ones it lives off. Of the warmth that thrilled me in 2018, nothing is left for me. The renewed stay was a big disappointment. Based on our experiences, I can no longer recommend the hotel."

"They lied to me. They assured me I could check out early and that they would approve a refund for the nights I wouldn't stay, as long as I initiated the refund through Booking.com first. Once I did, they assured me they would approve the refund request so I could receive it. They promised this to me out loud, in person. I should have recorded the conversation. Why would I check out early if I knew I would lose €900? I left early only because I trusted their word. I’m a person of integrity. I stayed calm and fair when I raised my concern: the room didn't match the description, which was disappointing. They took my kindness for granted, and now they claim they never said that and refuse to authorize my refund. It's been more than a month since the incident, and I have spent a lot of my energy talking to both Booking.com and the hotel directly. I am utterly disgusted by their lie and disrespect. Make this right and authorize my refund."

"A beautiful hotel with a very special charm! We had a great stay at the PUR MAR Estil in Cala Ratjada and felt very comfortable from the very first minute. The hotel is stylish, modern, and furnished with great attention to detail. We were particularly impressed by the relaxed atmosphere, the cleanliness, and the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. You can tell immediately that they place value on ensuring guests feel completely comfortable here. The location is also perfect – central in Cala Ratjada, so you can easily reach many things on foot. At the same time, it is pleasantly quiet and relaxing in the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were also excellent and left nothing to be desired. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. For us, it was an all-around successful stay and definitely a clear recommendation! We would come back anytime. Many thanks to the entire team at PUR MAR Estil for the wonderful time! ❤️🌴☀️"
