"We have been here 4 days, this is our first visit to beautiful Cala Bona & we are delighted with this hotel. Our room is a superior mountain view on floor 2 in the main building & it is immaculately clean. Comfortable bed, lovely white bathroom towels, hand soap, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, free safe, fridge, kettle with tea/coffee & milk in the fridge. TV has a couple of English news channels & music channels. Staff have welcomed us warmly, extra pillows & slip mat for bath were delivered promptly & help was needed with safe. We are half board & are very happy with the breakfasts & everything meals. Plenty of choice & lovely and fresh. Tinned tomatoes are a big plus for us & the cooked ham is delicious. The outdoor & indoor pools are great & easy to have a swim in if you choose to or read, chat with others. The aerobics on a morning is great entertainment. Plenty of sunbeds & parasols, many sunbeds are higher off the ground which is much easier for my partner & parasols are big & very much needed. Pool bar is good too. A nice touch is the sliced fruit in water with fresh apples available in reception. We also hired pool towels €20 deposit per towel which is refunded on return & you can change them every day for free. So far, so good 😊"

"To be honest, we have had better at this location. Fourth visit, not the best. Room was not up to usual standard, food was average compared to our other visits and the pool was bearly cold and seemed not well kept as usual. Also entertainment was very minimal compared to before. We will most likely look at a different location next year."

"We were very disappointed with our stay at the Catalonia Del Mar. Myself and my husband arrived for 4 days to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. The room was very small amd dated but clean. The bathroom was very tired and the bath and tiles needed to be updated as the grout in the tiles were brown. The shower was awful and could not get the temperature right and also water was trickling and not powerful enough. The Aircon was not very good at all. Trying to keep cool in the room and getting ready to go out and we were just sweating. You could hardly feel the aircon even on full and through the night was too warm, which stopped us having a good night sleep. The food was very poor and the same food for 3 days. The one day we went for breakfast at 9.45 and there was no eggs or sausages. We were told they not cooking any more even tho breakfast was until 10.30. Very disappointing. You are not allowed to fill water bottles up and the evening you have to pay for drinks including water. The staff were friendly and the Hotel clean but this should not be a 4 star hotel. Needs a total renovation for the price we paid. We will not be returning to this Hotel in the future. First time to Cala Bona loved it and will return but at a different Hotel."
