Zafiro Tropic

"We stayed as a family in July this year. We found the food and drinks to be very good. Branded spirits, great cocktails. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were small and could do with a little tlc. Rooms only cleaned 5 out of 7 days and weren’t informed on check in. Never been to a hotel where rooms weren’t cleaned and fresh towels provided every day. Great location to local bars and shops. Not enough sunbeds for the amount of guests. Terrible sunbed wars. Entertainment at night was pretty poor too, drinks were table service and if you sat near the back they tend to forget about you."

"Fantastic 10-day stay – ideal for families with young children! I actually almost never write reviews, but for Zafiro Tropic I'm happy to make an exception. Finding a suitable holiday hotel with young children is difficult enough, especially if you also want to keep an eye on the price. Therefore, we are happy to share our experiences, in the hope of helping other families with their choice. We had a wonderful 10-day all-inclusive holiday with our 3 and 5-year-old children at Zafiro Tropic in Alcúdia. Staff: really exceptionally friendly! What has perhaps stayed with us the most is the staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful, and involved. You really don't experience this often! Special thanks to Deborah, Saray, and Jose, who made our stay extra fun. The animation team was also fantastic and incredibly fun with the children. Rooms and resort The rooms are very clean and well maintained. They are a bit dated here and there, but because the entire resort is kept so neat and clean, we didn't find that to be a problem at all. We are staying high up in building 1, room 1449. A top floor apartment, with a nice location and relatively quiet. A handy tip: if you book directly through the hotel, you have the option to choose your room preference in advance. Swimming pools and children The swimming pools were still nice and warm even in October! They are warmed up, so it is fine to swim with a little sun, even for young children. When it's cloudy, children aged 3 to 6 feel the cold a bit faster, but honestly, you also feel less like swimming yourself. All-inclusive and food We had all-inclusive and we liked it very much. The food is more than fine, with considerable variety and enough choice for everyone. Certainly, during a 10-day stay, it is nice to have enough variety. A big plus point is the à la carte lunch. This is a welcome change from the buffet and makes the all-inclusive concept a little more appealing. Breakfast is also extensive: plenty of fresh fruit, churros, pancakes, various types of toppings, cold cuts, and eggs prepared to your liking. If I have to mention one small downside: the bacon at breakfast was a bit crispier for me. But that is also really a detail. Animation and shows Normally I don't like hotel shows at all, but even I found them surprisingly good! Our children also enjoyed it immensely. It was noticeable that many families with young children were already going to bed before the shows started. It's actually a shame, because they are definitely worth it. Beach and surroundings The beach is about a five-minute walk away and is really fantastic. A beautiful sandy beach that slowly slopes into the sea, ideal for small children. Renting beach chairs costs about €20. In the immediate vicinity, there are enough shops and restaurants to be found. The restaurants are generally not very cheap, but there is plenty of choice. The old town of Alcúdia is about a five-minute drive or a twenty-minute walk away. Certainly nice to visit sometime, for example for the market or to walk through the cozy streets. Accessibility and parking From Palma airport it is about a 45-minute drive to the hotel. We had a rental car and parking at the hotel was good. That is also nice when you travel with young children. Medical assistance: also excellently arranged During our stay, I unfortunately had a small accident at the pool with an inflatable ball, which caused me to be carried. This was also picked up fantastically by the hotel. Within about 40 minutes, a doctor was present who attended to me on site. Extremely nice how quickly and professionally this was arranged! Conclusion After 10 days we can say that Zafiro Tropic is an absolute recommendation in our opinion, especially for families with young children. The resort is clean, the swimming pools are nice, the all-inclusive offering is good, the beach is close by, and the entertainment is fun. But what makes this hotel truly special is the staff. The kindness and hospitality are exceptional. Everyone does their best to give you a nice holiday, and you notice it in everything. Precisely because it can be so difficult to find a nice and affordable family hotel, I hope this comprehensive review helps other families with their choice. We look back on our vacation with tremendous pleasure and would undoubtedly book here again!"

"The hotel has a nice offering tomorrow and tonight at the restaurant. There is unfortunately too loud and intrusive music from the large speakers in the center of the hotel and near the hotel rooms. It was noisy most of the day, and after 10:00 PM, conversations on the room terraces were disturbed. At the pool that is only for adults, we had hoped to find some peace, but on one side there is a children's pool and on the other side carts frequently drive with small hard wheels. Additionally, a large humming motor runs constantly. I had a purse stolen in the room at the reception. I asked them to look at the surveillance video for a limited time of a maximum of half an hour, and they promised it. I haven't heard from them yet!"
