"This was one of the best hotels we have ever experienced. No negatives. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean, spacious, with an excellent view. The bed was comfortable. Good A/C. Plenty of storage space. The website allows you to pick your room ahead of time and check in early. There is a taxi stand right around the corner. The location is excellent on the Grand Via with metro nearby and a short walk to shopping, restaurants, and historic sites like the Royal Palace. The rooftop bar is always lively with good food and drinks and a tremendous view at sunset and hotel guests get to cut the line for seats. The buffet breakfast is spectacular, with plenty to choose from including champagne. And the price for all of this is quite reasonable, especially if you join the hotel's membership group. I had questions before our arrival, and the staff was always helpful with timely and informative responses. We would definitely stay here again, and will look for other RIU properties on our future travels."

"Just arrived back home after three wonderful nights at the RIU Plaza Madrid. Check in was fast, efficient and very friendly. We were shown how to use the lifts using our room key - and thought it a very clever system. Our room was lovely, very clean and nice amenities. The hairdryer wasn’t working. I reported it at the front desk and we went out. A dryer had been delivered by the time we got back. On day three, I washed my hair, went to get the hairdryer and it had gone! Reported it ‘missing’ and had to go out with wet hair. A new one was delivered many hours later. Not ideal. That said, it was the only niggle we had. The rooftop bar was fantastic. Service was great and the food offering tasty and reasonable in price. The views were spectacular and we spent several hours being entertained by people taking their ‘Insta’ selfies! The pool was lovely; never crowded with helpful staff on hand for umbrellas, towels and cold drinks. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Would highly recommend this hotel; location perfect for shopping, restaurants and entertainment."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My stay at Hotel Riu Plaza España was incredible! I booked the Junior Suite with terrace, and it exceeded my expectations. The suite was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The bathroom was huge, and both the bedding and the shower were absolutely amazing—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Madrid. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, and the staff were welcoming and attentive throughout my stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a large variety of options to suit every taste—definitely one of the highlights of the stay. Its central location also makes it easy to enjoy everything the city has to offer, from dining and shopping to sightseeing. I highly recommend Hotel Riu Plaza España for anyone visiting Madrid—it’s a perfect mix of comfort, style, and convenience."
