"I'm here for a Cancer Congress and made the mistake of reserving a room at the Petite Palace Alcala. The room is like a dungeon with a small window looking to a wall 5 ft across the way. There's a large pillar in the middle of my room and it is quite depressing without any interior decor. I was told, despite paying 550 euro per evening that this is the standard single and it is like this on every floor. There was no opportunity to move as the hotel is sold out, very likely for other poor conference goers. I went to breakfast and couldn't believe it was the same hotel, a very nice open and airy room with plenty of plants and beautiful views to look at. Very likely to leave the hotel early."

"Excellent service in general but especially during breakfast, Antonella, Sheryl and Yamileth were always kind and helpful and the food was very yummy! :)"
