"Prior to checking in to the hotel had emailed them several times and they were very responsive.Overall, the staff was very helpful. however I had to have someone come up to check the air conditioning four times during our stay as it did not seem to be working. The first time someone from the front desk came up and said the timer needed to be reset so she did that and showed me how to do it and it was fine for a while . The next night it was so hot in the room that we were literally dripping wet. Again someone came up she said maybe the filter needed to be changed and she flipped the switch in the fuse box. A few times hit the reset button again and said it would take about a half hour to get running again. This took place around midnight I had opened the window to our small balcony to try to get a breeze. During our entire stay, there was Construction in front of the hotel even at night, so it was very noisy. in addition there were loud people walking back-and-forth in the wee hours of the morning.
Finally, the last time I talked to one of the staff members and said the air conditioning is not working they said every time you take the room card out of the little slot, the a:c shuts off and You have to reset the unit. Had they said that the first time I would’ve left the card in the slot even when we were out of the room.
Every time one of the staff came up upon my request to see why it wasn’t working, they insisted that it was working, and that unit doesn’t make any noise, but it was working. It felt like I was being gaslighted.It was so hot in the room that I didn’t know how I was going to get any sleep.
The staff meant well, but this ongoing issue was unacceptable."
