"Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, but I would like to point out a few areas for improvement.
First of all, the staff were extremely attentive. Although our check-in was scheduled for 3:00 p.m., they kindly allowed us to check in an hour earlier, which was especially thoughtful as we had a reservation at 4:00 p.m. and wanted enough time to get ready in our room. In addition, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a higher room category (room 503), for which we were very grateful.
The hotel's greatest strength is undoubtedly its excellent location in the Salamanca district, within walking distance of Calle Serrano. However, considering the price we paid, I felt that the overall experience fell somewhat short of expectations in certain respects, particularly because the room was quite small.
As for the amenities, the bathroom was well equipped with bathrobes, towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body lotion, all provided in generously sized dispensers with a pleasant green tea fragrance, which I thought was a nice touch. I did notice that slippers were not initially provided, but after emailing the front desk, they immediately offered to bring them to the room, along with a garment steamer for a dress I wanted to remove the wrinkles from. I must commend both the speed of their response and their willingness to help, as both the slippers and the steamer were delivered at the agreed time.
Regarding breakfast, there was a good variety of options, but I do not feel that the price (€19 per person) was justified by the quality of the food. At that price, I believe it is better to have breakfast at one of the many cafés in the surrounding area.
The only issue that genuinely bothered me (and the main reason for my four-star rating) concerns the housekeeping. The person who cleaned our room threw away the shopping bag from a purchase I had made at a nearby jewellery store. While this may seem like a minor issue, I had intended to keep the bag as a souvenir to remember buying a pair of earrings during our trip. That said, when I mentioned the incident to the reception staff at check-out, they were very understanding and empathetic, which I truly appreciated.
Overall, I would certainly consider staying at this hotel again on future trips to Madrid, although there are a few aspects that could still be improved."
