"UPDATE: 2 July 2026 UPDATE: 2 July 2026 On my most recent stay, I was assigned room 507. On my first night, the room got gradually warmer overnight (slept when it was 21 Celsius and woke up when it was 25 Celsius). In addition, the sewage smell coming from the bathroom became overbearing that it woke me up at 7am in the morning. To their credit, I went down to the reception asking for another room and I was right away given a new room with a MUCH COOLER air-conditioning on the 4th floor. So, tips no. 1: if you're staying in this hotel, AVOID ROOM 507! ——— I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times but my most recent stay in early December really gave me a bitter experience. First of all, free breakfast benefit for Diamond members have been removed. When asked, they said breakfast now costs €16 if you book a room without breakfast included regardless whether you’re a Diamond member or not. Also, the receptionist has become very passive aggressive. I requested for a late check-out of 2pm, which was approved. However, on the day of check-out at 12:30pm, the receptionist rang me and asked me, “Are you staying for one more night?” When asked back about the approved late check-out, the receptionist only replied, “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” Still a good hotel with a good room, but with removed breakfast benefit for Diamond member and passive-aggressive receptionist, this hotel is definitely going downhill. Not recommended."

"Conclusion: I stayed one night at Hotel Indigo Madrid – Princesa and had a very positive experience. The hotel is well located, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was great. Although the room was a bit small, it was comfortable and well maintained. I would happily stay here again. Review: I arrived at the hotel from the airport using Bolt, which is often cheaper than Uber in Spain. The journey takes about 30 minutes by car. It is also possible to take the metro, although it requires at least one transfer. The hotel's location is excellent, with many of Madrid's main attractions within walking distance. There are also plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants in the surrounding area. I arrived a little earlier than the official check-in time, but my room was ready and I was able to check in immediately. Despite a long queue at reception, the front desk staff remained friendly, efficient, and professional. The room was somewhat small, which could be challenging if you are travelling with several large suitcases. However, it was clean, cosy, and well equipped for a short stay. I had breakfast at the hotel and can highly recommend it. The selection was varied and the quality was excellent. The hotel also has a cosy bar and restaurant, although I did not have the opportunity to try either during my stay. There is a pleasant rooftop terrace with nice views. However, there is no food or beverage service available there, so if you would like to enjoy a glass of wine on the rooftop, you will need to bring it yourself."

"A very pleasant hotel not far from the main tourist area. Quiet, clean and with very friendly staff. Definitely recommend as getting around by metro is a breeze and you are away from the bustling tourist fray."
