"This hotel is near all the sights in the centre of Madrid and there is an underground station right there. The square is a bit noisy and dirty, but there are restaurants, places to have breakfast and a big 24h supermarket. We asked for a room at the back and it was very quiet. I live in Barcelona and the area (which other guests have complained about) is not much different to other places in the old towns of Madrid and Barcelona. There are some people sleeping on the streets and people from all types of background, but it didn't feel dangerous to me. The hotel is basic, but new and clean. Aircon and the Internet worked well, and bed was comfortable. The staff are very nice."

"This is a clean, well run hotel situated close to stations etc and is suitable for a 1 night stop over. Staff are professional and friendly. However, the area it is in is a dive and I didn’t feel hugely safe walking out in the evening. Added to that we were kept awake by loud noise in the street all night! Pic shows the aftermath in the street….."

"Absolutely terrible stay. Reception was completely unhelpful and offered no remedy at all when we raised concerns. The rooms were oppressively hot, and unbelievably the hotel had decided to turn on the central heating in the middle of a hot day. It made the room incredibly uncomfortable and there is no option to turn on the AC (which is an advertised feature of the property). Do not stay here."
