If your city break calls for a moment of relaxation, make plans to visit the hotel’s wellness room, where there’s a choice of treatments to help pep you up, from tired legs therapy to an energising massage. There’s also a gym, although, with Madrid on the doorstep, you could skip the treadmill and head out on a run through the city instead.
You can help yourself to a simple buffet breakfast served in a bright café, but there are options galore on your doorstep, not least the renowned Barcelo Market that’s right opposite the hotel and the cafes on Fuencarral Street.
The rooms are distinctly modern, almost minimalist, with pops of scarlet against an otherwise monochrome palette. There’s a choice of sizes (although they’re all typically bigger than average), from small rooms for singles to spacious Junior Suites, which have a terrace for soaking up the city atmosphere.
