Crowne Plaza Madrid Centre Retiro

"This hotel is a little anonymous from the outside. It is right next to the Voco hotel. Both these establishments replaced independent offerings a few years ago. I stayed in this area for work as it is convenient not just for trains but for access to the metro and the city in general. My room was bright, spacious and well equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom clean and modern. It was large and even had space for a pull-down extra bed. Breakfast was very good indeed with a wide selection of hot and cold with excellent quality products. The staff were really excellent and friendly - a credit to this hotel. They make the difference!"

"Stayed here for three wonderful nights. Loved the location as it is near the city center but far enough that you can get a good night's rest. The staff was amazing, both at reception and at breakfast. A big shout out to Paloma who not only checked us in, but checked in on us throughout our stay. Really, truly wonderful. The rooms were fantastic - large, modern, clean, comfortable, with a kettle and beverage sachets on offer. It's everything you want, really. The buffet breakfast was also great, with the usual suspects on offer (eggs, bacon, pastries, etc.). Overall, I had such a relaxing stay at this hotel and I would definitely recommend it to anyone."
