Lava Beach Hotel

"Almost perfect! We have just returned from our second visit to Lava Beach and another amazing holiday. We were shown to our room which was lovely with a sea view but quickly realised it had a bath and not a walk in shower which would be no good for my wife who has spinal problems, our fault as we did not specify when booking. We were offered an alternative room which was a junior suite for an additional €20 euros per night which over looked the pool. Nice room with a separate bedroom but a smaller lounge. All the rooms we encountered were very clean and the cleaners, who always greet you with a friendly smile and “hello” do an amazing job every day. There is a good choice of food and drink at the pool bar and a nice relaxed vibe in the roof top bar in the evenings. The main restaurant offers a vast choice at both breakfast and dinner and the food is amazing. The waiting staff are friendly and attentive and special mention to Kamal, Moises and especially Joan who we always had a laugh with and is a real credit to the hotel. Reception are always friendly and again a special mention to Zofia, when we booked the more à la carte restaurant (Aroma) we mentioned it was our anniversary and then on the special day an ice bucket with a bottle of Cava was delivered to our room with a happy anniversary card, a really nice touch. The lounge bar is nice but the nightly entertainment is a bit hit and miss, you can usually tell when the better acts are in as the bar gets quite busy, other times just a handful of people. The pool area is very clean but the sun bed frames and cushions could do with a clean! Not terrible but compared to everything else perhaps a bit over looked. But these are minor things and certainly won’t stop us returning again next year. Another endorsement for this hotel is that we recognised lots of people from last year too so a lot of returnees which speaks volumes!"

"Excellent resort ,spotlessly clean,great breakfast and the staff were first class.The pool area was probably the cleanest I have ever seen. The bar staff were superb and bar entertainment very good.Extra thanks to the fitness/yoga team who were fantastic. The only downside was the breakfast buffet manager wouldn’t allow me a coffee and pastry to take away on an early morning dive trip,I have stayed in many top hotels and this is the first time that this has happened. We have already booked to return with our family next year and maybe I will be allowed a take away coffee next time."

"Just returned from an 11 night stay here what an amazing hotel, every member of staff greets you with a smile, the rooms are stunning and cleaned daily by brilliant maids, the breakfast is amazing whether you want just fruit or a full English there is so many choices you can even wash it down with a glass of champagne, the grounds and pools are kept immaculate, no sunbed wars just go down anytime of day and you will get a sunbed, already looking for next September, this is now our go to hotel 😀"
